    genset pickup at Jacksonville

Lav, All the batts were drained. I gave them to Mark. He probably would give them away if you asked. Gensets are in fine condition. Each indicated an oil change within one hour on the hobbs. Also, they both only have about 700 hours each. Good luck with your pickup. Steve

    genset pickup at Jacksonville

Mark (deucecoupe) and I ran over to Jacksonville this morning to retreive my genset and trailer. Fairly uneventful. However, it took us about 30 minutes to get the lunette rotated (took us 25 minutes to get the cotter pin out). Yes, we knew what we were doing--I think. Anyway, flipped the...

No More Political Avatars or Signatures or Slamming!!!

I must admit, the "don't blame me" on both sides is discouraging. I'm glad they're gone. We all (as Americans) are in a deep pile right now. Seems like we'd try to work together to get things right instead of blaming the other side. We ALL may lose on this one if we're not careful. I'm...

    Surprise email from GL

I'm a little confused. Are some of you being charged up front for EUC items? I recently won an EUC item and my credit card was not charged. My EUC just went to Battle creek. I figured they'd charge it once I was cleared--which may be a while based on the GL situation currently.

    Welding for dummies

I just bought a welder (millermatic 135), watched the videotape that came with it, read a little about safety, and had at it. Practice is good. It isn't that hard really.

    Libby air cooled gensets

I have one that I set up to run my entire house. I bought a couple more for spare parts. It fires right up and runs great! It is loud though. As I understand, they are very durable too. I'm counting on that.

New GL rule, PAY first! EUC approved or not......

I bought something requiring an EUC. I knew you paid up front now. However, I couldn't figure out if my payment was made! I was so concerned, I chatted with GL and gave them ANOTHER credit card to cover the cost because they were telling me the payment wasn't paid?! Next day, they tell me it...

Really Dumb Question about side racks on m105a2

Clean the posts real good with a wire wheel. Knock off as much rust as possible. I greased mine so they'd come out easier.

    govt liqidation is a mess

Man, took me a while to get through this thread. I've been "scared straight" off GL! I won't be bidding on EUC stuff. I won one EUC item back in the summer. My biggest problem was that noone knew what the situation was. I mean, I sent the paperwork literally DOZENS of times (electronically...

    Flat towing possible?

Are these vehicles (specifically an M1028) able to be flat towed? I need to haul one about 50 miles. Have a medium tow bar with 3/4 inch crow's feet. Would be towing with an F250 with 6 liter diesel. Thanks. Steve

    Bracket function??

I just won this M101 trailer on GSA. I picked it up this afternoon. It was obviously a genset trailer (ground strap data plate, holes in floor, fuel can holders, fire ext). Can anyone tell me what this bracket on the underside is for? Is this a spare carrier? Also, what's with the big sheet...
