Does anyone know what the ladder in the (hopefully!) attached photos is for? It has four steps and is just over 5 foot tall when collapsed and appears to be designed to attach to a point approximately 46" above the ground. As you can see in the photos it's too tall for my M37 and has the wrong...
Headsets would be great IMO but they're illegal in some states, including here in Florida :-(
YMMV but I found this on the net regarding Washington: "It turns out that in Washington the fine for headphones is $124. "
In other postings (in the Paint and Body Section, I think) they called them sleeves and suggested getting ones that are used to cover hydraulic hoses. They said their hydraulic house just gave them to them. You could also get the expandable sleeving that they used to cover auto wires. Push it...
7 x 100 Watt plus 2 standard headlights! Darn, Frank! I'd hate to meet you coming down the road! It would probably be like looking into the sun. Just don't get too close to the guy in front of you or you're likely to blister his paint! I don't know about Florida but in most states you're only...
There's an M37 on E-bay that has a lock plate for the ignition switch (picture attached). Anybody have plans for one of these or, better yet, have a spare one? I know they're probably not hard to make IF you have a way of riveting them together and to the dash! Do they have a cutout in them so...
Thanks for posting those pictures and the installation drawing. I have a mangled Fording Kit that I'm trying to sort out. A previous owner bent the pipes, brackets and even the side of the bed trying to make it fit! I looked at the installation drawing that you posted but they make no sense...
My M37 was made in Aug '51 but seems to have nothing but late features! It has the three holes but no slots or loops. Can anyone post a picture of how/where the footman loops mount? Are they bolted or welded on? Do they use nuts on the back or are there weldnuts installed? anybody got three...
That was Seminole County and AFIK it applies in all unincorporated parts of the county that are zoned residential. I didn't get the Deuce because of this. :-( I had already found one and gotten the wife's ok and was on the way to sign the papers when I found out about this restriction. But I...
Thanks for the pictures. Your paperclips look a little further out than some I've seen. But maybe that's just the way they look. I wonder if there ever was a standard for exactly where they were supposed to go or it they just mounted them "near" the ends of the bumper?
Did you find any other...
Hi Leaker,
Any pictures of your heater? I'd wondered about putting a civilian heater on mine too. $550 is too much for an original considering how simple they are.
AZDeuce,
I was considering retoring it to USMC configuration but a SeaBee configuration might also be an interesting option. Thanks for the suggestion. BTW do you know the size and dimensions of the paperclips? I wonder if they're the same size on the M37 and m35?
Thanks. It's kind of fun to add a new "Mopar" to the collection! The funny thing is that I used to have a '50 Plymouth Sedan Deluxe with the same motor and probably the same transmission!
My 1951 M37 has the USMC type rear light guards that also relocate the lifting shackles to the outside rear corners but does not have the "paper clips" on the front bumper. Has anyone ever seen this before? I was TOLD that this M37 originally belonged to the US Navy and was later transferred to...
Hi, I have the original data plates in my M37 but they look like someone cleaned them with steel wool and a lot of the black paint is gone. The stampings are still clearly legible but hard to read against a silver (aluminium) background. Anyone have any idea of how I can restore the black...
