New Jersey to North Carolina and back run.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Ok who in Arizona?I let a friend use and he drove the front wheel off, literally. We manage to put new outer bearing an muse home at 10 mph. He broke it so made him fix and drive home. He failed to do a pretrip inspection or investigate noise yes he heard but thought it was dirt. Now new...

    Rebuilding a air assist unit

I would not disassemble. Install and if bad. Buy a new. I put these on heavy trucks decades ago. We disassembled an old one and there is just discs inside to move air. I believe it works on equal force to ram and the valve releases to turn. Been a while. Clean, replace o rings and install

    LED light bar

You are right relay not needed for his light bar. I looked at the one posted and that one would be 12 volts

    LED light bar

Still need 24volt relay. The coil that pulls contacts in needs to be 24 volt. Be sure that the LED is good for 24 volt. Some are not and the will fail as quickly as a 12 volt relay with 24 volts wired to coil. Also make sure contacts are rated for voltage and amperage. Switches too.

    M35a2 WIRE HARNESS

The light switch is repairable and rebuild able. There is a great write up on doing just that. To take apart start soaking with pb blaster where the front and back halves go together. Then tap the front outside edge to relive the snap ring in the middle. Use a pick and small flat head...

    inaccurate oil pressure readings

Just a little point but if you remove wire 36 from sender and ground gauge will go full of zero if wire 36 and gauge is good. If you ground gauge connection for wire 36 the same should happen. Now if you disconnect wire 36 from both ends and check for voltage you should have zero with everything...

    My Deuce repairs.

My front harness is ready for replacement. I have several repairs made and one spot where it was pinched on top of frame, something fell or stepped on or pried on. The repairs are good but some spots the insulation is coming off.

    My Deuce repairs.

I have not looked yet but is welting used between panels for sound deading? Wiring harness is a must so I will get that. I want to replace hood hinges anyway. My new fender is for an A3. My A2 has old style air cleaner. I would like the air cleaner out of the engine bay to keep intake air as...

    My Deuce repairs.

Working the fire out of a deuce

Was there a refueling station at the top? EGT? What a truck. The load and road conditions would distroy a today's truck. Tracks may have helped. Great vid.

    Locked rear axles

Lockers are key. Front locker works best. Two axles locked one front even better. All three locked ultimate. Downside, when you are stopped moving you are stuck stuck. The upside is if used correctly(requires knowing you vehicle capablities) can keep you moving. My 2 cents. Not needed but I...
