I feel your pain brother......My M998a1 is sitting at Ft Riley....633 miles to the north of Ft Hood.....Purchased 9/14, euc filed 9/18...they forwarded it 9/30.......so here I sit at the Hood.....maybe Christmas time
As big as Ft Hood is there isn't a Scepter can to be found......They got those under lock and key.....I'm running Jerry Cans, the NATO approved ones not the Chinese repo.....
Thanks for the update....I really appreciate it.....I wonder if I have any "visitation rights".......Mine is a 2 door, camo. troop hauler.....has a large "BP077" wrote on the windshield in white.....
If I did go up there, I visit Masonic Lodge Union #7 in Junction City......
Might be an "Airborne or Air Drop" requirement for the Airborne.....like full tank and loaded in a aircraft on a hot day.....fuel expands and leaks inside the plane.....my wild asp guess
Yep, They are buying newer machines that are really, really armored up and are getting rid of the worst ones first, at least in my AO.....
The one's offered are excess or damaged ones.....some are sold because of age, that's why you can find new components on an old machine.....
I live right out the gate at Ft. Hood aka. "The Hood" and most of my neighbors are active duty or retired Mil, like myself......After seeing the Ft Hood offers I would say most of the Hmmwv's here are bring backs....Most of the troops and their equipment have been over there in "The Sand Box"...
I see the storage lot.....next to the train track and lake
Hay maybe if it sits there long enough it will be in the next satellite fly over when Google shoots a photo
That makes sense.....that way GP doesn't have the DRMO lot tied up with items that have been already paid out to the Govt.....I do have a Mil ID card......Thank.....
