I had my deuce airborne for a few seconds but when it hit the ground the fan went into the radiator. I looked at getting a new one but ended up spending $300 on a take out one instead.
I have had to use my deuce to pull a stuck Kenworth out of the yard after they delivered our double wide it had those small high pressure tires that are no good in the soft and wet dirt. The deuce is handy off road but driving on the road tires me out.
I have a fan, instrument panel light, that i run out of a 3 way cigarette thing and a set of lights under the bumper to see things better up close all off the 12vdc line from one battery the only problem I ever had was when the connector on the battery got loose it rusted and fried the batteries.
I liked working on both the M5 and M3. The twin cadillacs on the M5 and the radial on M3. Was surprised that the 37mm was shoulder mounted to the gunner. the M5 I remember the laterals were mounted above the driver instead of on the floor.
I used a black and decker titanium coated bit and it went right through the frame using a craftsman 19.2 volt drill. used the 2 holes already there to line up the hitch.
I drilled out four more holes so I got 8 bolts all together 4 on each side of the reciever. did you have any problems with the air line above the holes in the frame? It was alot of work just to get the bolts in the holes.
I just got a personal loan to pay part of my deuce while I was still in the army of course the loan people will get their money when your in the service.
