alright, to answer your question.....my muffler is rusted out, thought if I was going to straight pipe it I would do it now. And NO I'm not throwing chrome stacks on it.....just a flex pipe in place of the muffler.
I don't mind the sound, heck a duece is twice as loud of my 818.
I was...
Has anyone straight piped their NHC-250. I'm debating on it, just can't find any hard facts on how it will affect the non-turbo motor.
Does anyone have any knowledge on non-turbo diesels and the affects of low backpressure?
I just got back with my 818, so count me in for sure, my wife will probably be with me.
My father may join us as well with his M35A2, not 100% though.
I'm going to call a couple other guys that I know that are not SS members and see if they want to participate.
Count me in, may not be able to stay all day though (family Christmas party that day).
Vehicle: M35A2, maybe an M818 if my EUC ever clears!
Passengers: none
I noticed that the front axle in one of my deuces has a depot rebuild tag on it, the tag also says that its has a 6.44 ratio. Has anyone ever seen 6.44's in a deuce? I'll try to remember to read the tags on the rear tomorrow.
The DOT 5 (silicone brake fluid) is the culprit to the rusting lines. Since silicone fluid does not obsorb water/moisture out of the system, the moisture will pool up in the low spots of the system, especially the calipers or wheel cylinders, which is bad because the boiling point of water is so...
....before I part it out? No bed, winch truck, has been painted red (GSA volunteer fired dept truck). If anyone is interested let me know and I can get you the specifics on it.
Just noticed that the recovery rings have been removed and hung on the grill.......it must have been towed to its current position.
Anything I need to look for when I go to pick it up, I'm planning on driving it back. Never owned an 818, so any info would be greatly appreciated.
