You are right that they will bolt right on. One bonus in military mind set. If it works don't change it and have lots of interchangable parts.
As I mention I was curious about interference issues since my rig is stock singles of a narrow configuration.
I will just have to see what happens when I...
I was just wondering if I would rub tires in the fender well and have less of a turning radius.
The offset of stock M135 rims is 5 1/8 as near as I have found for intel. The offset of the 2 piece rims I would think is at least 7 inches if not more.
Plus a ten inch wide rim as opposed to the...
I also have no title with my rig just bill of sale. I was told my best course was to do a vehicle history search with its vin (data plate serial numbers), to see if it shows up. The other course of action is to have a vin number re registered. Once safty inspected to be allowed on the road its...
That's awesome!! Thank you so much!!
Just a though but has anyone ever concidered cutting out the centre face of those rims and making a flat plate face to decrease the offset??
I have. 1956 M135 and wonder if I will have interferance once I get some rims.
Does any one have a picture of the 2 piece MLVW rims in half??
I have looked and looked to find any and all I come up with are ones for nummers that are split.
I am wanting to see how the split. Is the hub face part of the outer ring (side you see) or the inner ring (towards the axle).
I know it has been discussed on the site before about synthetic oils used. Not sure if it has ever been tried with the 302 but would assume one would use the equivilant to the 30w. 10w30?
I am wondering however if anyone has any opinions on the best oil for the diffs. The standard 80-90w gear...

Boy is our Canadian government dumb!!
Instead of being stupid and destroying the MLVW's why the H*#! Aren't they selling them to the general public! Such a huge waste!!!
I would buy one or two if I could. I own a farm so they would be put to good use!
Sorry but hearing that makes me grumpy!
What...
I can't seem to be able to watch the clips. Waaaa! I have been wanting to watch them for so long.
Hey Ian! If your still checking this thread, come and get mine!! A 1956 M135. I am hoping to put a cummins 12v in it and make it a four door with disc brakes. And chop the top 4 to 6 inches.
Any way...
Could you take pics of this set up?? I am realizing that I will have to come up with something like that as well.
Whether I stick with the manual 5 speed I have or get an automatic I will need to shift my transfer case. I didn't realize on these that the transfercase had a forward and reverse...
Bump for the thread..
Does anyone know if there are any of these rim tire combos left for sale??
If so who is selling them. I have been searching for a loooong time and can't find any, except in the states for major bucks!!
Don't give up on er yet! Head gaskets should be fairly easy to get still since a lot of hot rodders use these motors for their cars. The head should be fairly easy to work on as well since the engine design is pretty strait forward.
If you were gonna part her out its to bad I aint a millionare...
Why is it when you haven't got a dollar to your name you find things you would normally buy in a heart beat!
Found on a web site a 53 M211 retro fitted bush fire truck.
This rig looks beautiful gloss white and completely redone including a engine upgrade!! This thing has a CAT engine and 4...

Seriously though I understand about life getting in the way of things some times. I am trying hard to keep things together here. To my truck off the for sale adds for now.
As long as your grandparents don't mind the rig sitting there it will...
Just a thought but, I have also been looking at different trannies for my application, the one that I keep concidering is the M41 six speed made by Allison.
It is specifically build for medium duty applications such as city garbage trucks.
I think it would have no problem in anything we put the...
You may be thinking of the rear rotors they are manufactured with an almost 6inch recess from the hub mount. The front rotors are manufactured the same as what your picture had shown. Just 6 bolt instead of 10.
