Great story. Appreciate you sharing it. I got lucky with my M1009 find - the CL advert stated a located of Wilmington DE - about a 3 hour drive for me. When I called the number, he was literally 15 minutes away. :lol:
This thread needs a photo or two. My fuel filter holder / fuel heater developed a leak which is atomizing diesel all over the engine compartment. I'm not quite sure what parts go where as described in this thread but I'm under the impression it's repairable.

Hey Mike! I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do. I'll start with some batteries, new fuel and oil, maybe an engine oil filter (spec said it's 2 quarts capacity!). Anyway, I'll get it to the werks and figure it out. Come on over. We'll have lunch too - on me!
