Thanks Martin. did you take a look at the video from today? i am puzzled by it. I don't think the HH could affect the fuel cut off position. but i know nothing about this really.
Welcome from MA (yes i hate being from here) These guys on here are some funny bastards. I get ribbed all the time for my horrible spelling. But with my ADD and ADHD i forget as soon as i .......Look a squirrel

well i checked the fuel cut off rod today and i have a few questions. i took this video today and i have it in another thread but please take a look at it.

i will give it a try.
Is the fluid in there normal or is that a sign of another problem?
what more would i see if i cut the saftey wire and removed the plate?

i'm reading that "rebuilding" thread now. so if the lever is not in the correct position, what is the fix to get it back to the 7 o'clock position? is it just manually moving it? or is there a spring?
is this in the correct position? i just found good pics in this thread but haven't read it yet http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/69241-removing-rebuilding-reinstalling-hydraulic-head.html
in another thread they talk about taking out components and cleaning them...
the truck has 900 hrs on it. not the previous owner but the one before that put some nasty crap in the tank. i think he was doing a science experiment :cookoo:. i still need to check the cut off rod linkage but thats going to have to wait till Saturday. If that doesn't fix it i will replace the...
Thanks for the info. I haven't checked the rod yet. I know i was told earlier about it but i haven't done it yet. i can move the external rod no problem so i have been assuming the internal is fine also. If it was sticking, i would have jumped on opening it up. I guess that is the last thing...
