i have no problem waiting... but i am not sure what you mean by hunting. if this is a timed fuel delivery i don't understand how it may be running ok injecting off time? i have 20 gallons of clean fuel in it but i was never able to properly clean the tank other than draining it, so its a...
well at least its not just me.. lol its just so much stuff to tear down. all those fuel rail clamps are the worst.... then the fuel shut off rod gizmo. then all the lines from the HH. i actually removed lines 4,5,6, completely to aid in removing 123 from the HH.
i will have to check... i'm such a dumbazz! :cookoo: i cant believe i did all that and never paid attention to any cylinder tdc never mind #1. Theres no work like rework!!!
cylinder 1 is closest to the radiator correct?
when you say "You should not have any pressure on #1 intake and exhaust...
Starting problem is solved! Now I need to see if all 6 injectors are working OR is the injection pump not suppling all injector lines. When I was trying to bleed them, some lines never showed me a sign of fuel spurting out. I didnt undo them all the way since they are a bear to do..
Oh...
today's update.
I started putting everything back together. shortly into it after connecting the internal fuel cutoff rod with the clip. i checked the movement. the dam thin stopped dead at 6 o'clock position again. I was just empty with emotion and out of ideas. it was doing the same movement...
DeucesWild11,

Gregg2560, I saw that one and was considering it. I just thought it was overkill for my light needs. if mine turns out to be a big pos i will snatch that up.
from the little bit i read on the web: Taping into the middle of the 2 batteries will give the 12 volts but slowly drain the first battery in series which will cause the second battery to over draw/over charge.
even if it would take a few years to beat the batteries to the point of no return...
i just bought this one on ebay. I figured it would do what i want.
eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
that sounds ideal but more expensive that a converter.
my belt system has been modified for my hydraulic steering pump. so my alt only is running off one belt as is.
looks like I'll be on the hunt for the converter. I don't want to do the tap.
Beastmaster, if i did go to a bone yard and did find a bus, i wouldn't even know where to look for or how to identify the converter. (and since I'm in MA also we should meet up)
I have searched the threads again today and didn't find a clear answer. I was wondering what is the best way to get a 12 volt feed ?
From charging the cell phone, gps, back up cameras or auxiliary lighting. I am not trying to bling out my ride but some things i have grown to love (like my wife).
I don't know? you still need to disconnect all 6 injector lines from the top and get them out of the way to lift the HH out. these lines don't flex to much. all the line clamps had to come off. i removed the 3 injector lines closes to the cab completely. This is just some of the details that...
me to... between learning, diagnosing, and trying to come up with a game plan. Not to mention the fenders are around 5' off the ground. The up, downs are exhausting and i am sick.
I think I'm going to just rest tomorrow.
Holy crap! i got my a** kicked today also. It took about 1/2 hr this morning to get the HH out. I started at the cranks timing marks and danced with that for a awhile. I tried turning the fan, didnt work too well. i ended up bumping the starter while it was in neutral till the timing marks were...
i just saw this pic and i was curious about opinions. it looks like it would be easy to get the rams parallel and level ant the force out at the end of the arms by adapting this style of mount. just with 2 pistons.
