i think she's all good. i'll venture out around town tomorrow.
I will disconnect it to save it however i dont think i'll have much luck finding the short without it. I guess i could probe one hot blinker lead at a time and check against ground for continuity. that would mean its shorted i...
i thought i was ready to be rolling further than around the block. looks like i still have to track down a short in my blinkers (if i dont use them should be fine). Where and when is the Merrimac valley swap meet? (and dont tell me in the Merrymack valley :))
let me know what your schedule...
I didn't watch the mov files yet but i read your post. Listen to the guy's on here. They have been down this road many times and know what they are doing. The HH did fix my starting issues, having enough fuel in a clean tank fixed all the other issues  lol. If your having as much...
ixpacman, are you registered as a commercial or antique? at the registry they told me anything over 10K lbs is commercial. and anything with 3 axles is commercial. I was polite and she checked with her supervisor and she hesisantly let me do it as a antique.
i removed my fuel tank, pump, sender. pressure washed and steam cleaned the inside. plasma cut a hole in the baffle into the rear third of the tank so i can clean that out also. (doing that today) Jacked out the dent that was pushing the drain plug up, now its sits nice and low. re-tapped...
i like your reply. I got hassled at the registry about doing mine as a antique but in the end the let me. I think a bunch of us m*******s should meet at a dunkin donuts one Saturday morning. lol
If the Mass DOT (or better known as the State Police Truck Team "Commercial Vehicle Enforcement") gets down to dealing with fuel, you can guarantee were getting a ticket. In respect to the taxes for fuel, their job is clear (or clear to them) enforce the law, any fuel tinted isn't diesel with...
eagle4g63. i never even considered sludge in the tank. I am actually in process of cleaning out my tank right now from all the neglect from the previous owners ( what a mess, thank god i have a friend with a pressure washer/hot box and a nice place with a separator in the drain). what p/n...
lol that is funny. my truck has a flapper on it now. the clanking is annoying when i had starting issues and low rpm but it just adds a touch of the awesome look to it. IMO
If I was going to do them I would run them up in a traditional manner but behind the cab and a touch outside. No mufflers, no bends, just flappers.

Anyone ever make a set of dual stacks? Not like its needed but it would look evil. you could even use the manifold heater concept (x2) and have the stacks blow flames on the flick of a switch.
once again i thought i was the only one. sometimes (when i was working) i would just stare at a part of a project then BAM it hits you. Now its time to make it happen.
