This Protective Control Box Prestolite came out of my 1988 M998. The wait light didnt work and the alternator was in the red. I replaced the box with a used yellow tag unit to match the sensor on the engine....Bingo the wait light works and my alt gauge is back in the green - the engine starts...
Installed my Rhino spare tire carrier on Friday along with the remainder of the Airlift bumper brackets. Saturday installed a new steering wheel. Most I've done in months.
The IbisTek is kinda of a pig - lots of protection but I dont see myself running a road block any time soon. The more I look at it there could be a rectangle tube bumper project in the works - airlift front version .....
Recovered my M998 last week - the old school 1st gen grill guard needs replacement. What later versions (military) will work without major mods ? pictures please......
Todays recovery went smooth - yes the storage area is still soft (no standing water) - when we arrived another customer was kinda stuck. My truck started on the first try - drove it out of the fenced area to the trailer and it went up the ramps idling. The GP rep was very helpful and easy going.
