    Data Plate Info

I am putting the final touches on a heater for my 52 M37. I have ordered the data plate and was wondering if someone out there could provide the measurements of the plate. Here is the plate. I will modify it to work with my heater controls.

    M151 data plate

I am in the process of adding a heater in my 52 M37. I plan to use a M151 heater fan data plate for my heater fan switch. I found a NOS plate in Europe. While I am waiting for the plate to come I need to make a mounting panel for under dash use. Does anyone out there have the plate and could...

Zout getting new project M 715

Zout what year does the data plate say it is? When reading over the years it seems that the media says that the 715 was not available until the late 60s. However I clearly remember seeing them at Benning in 1965. The 11th air assault (the test division) had a lot of them and other new stuff...

    M37 light switch question

Anyone reading the two posts before this one by cjcottrill and mdainsd should be able to make a very well done wiring harness. I have for many years used just about all of their methods to fabricate many, many harnesses. Good show guys. For me the 4x8 plywood sheet is a very important part of...

    M37 light switch question

You can buy the light switch here..............http://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/elcocplfor3l.html.......... If you look at the connector a while you can figure out how to remove the pins. Use WD 40 and it will be easy. Take your old connector apart and you will see. So I normally pop them...

    M37 light switch question

If your wiring looks as you have described. You can bet that you have bare wires in many places. Time to bite the bullet and replace the whole harness. Very common problem with the early 50s' units. If you address only the light switch wiring now sooner or later you will have problems...

    M37 light switch question

Trivia note..........The very first light switches did not have the circuit breaker inside the switch housing. They used a 15 amp klaxon breaker like everything else does. Most of the old vehicles that had an amp gauge instead of a volt meter used that type of switch as a general rule. So if...

Master cylinder and gas tank vent line hoses

You might want to disconnect the fuel tank vent line on both ends and see if you can get air trough it. Common for it to be plugged up with crud. If it is you will have to make a decision as how to vent the tank. Clean out the line/replace it or forget it and use a vented gas tank cap.

    Hendersond's M38a1C

At the Benning TACP in 64-65 the AF sent us 2 Air Force blue, Marine Corps procured M38A1s that were VC 104s, As indicated on the data plates. They were used for TACP radio jeeps and used a MRC 108 radio type of setup. They both had the same spring setup on them as your Jeep. The radios were...

Reproduction fuel tank installed. Very happy

As is normal for you a well done project Clinto. As sad as the old tank was it was the best of the 5 mules I had at the time. All 5 had a very rough life. John Emery as you indicated is the guy to go to for mule parts/questions etc.. I get all my stuff from him and it all is good. I have...

    M37 Barn Find

Sounds like you had way to much fun. All the easy recoveries I have had I can count on one hand. If you figure it will take 15 minutes get ready for a 4-6 hour event at least. Looks like you did good and it is a pretty straight truck. You and hndrsonj need to make a trip up here and visit...

    M37.....Here we go again

I have not built a new wiring harness yet. When I do I will wire in the turn signal stuff. It is pretty easy as I have done it to an M35, M37, M211 and a M34 so far. I have already physically mounted a NOS turn signal arm to control box wiring harness and the control box for it. I will get a...
