Thanks Jim. I downloaded a copy of TM-8031-2 and found the torque setting of 300 ft. lbs. is correct. Also the whole procedure is listed with good pics to boot.
Had a leak in the rear axel shaft pinion seal. So I removed the seal only to find that the leak was caused by the inner seal in the National 8127 seal. The inner seal was turning inside the outer 4 inch spacer/housing... or what ever you call the darn thing. I had wondered about that...
Well after a 12 week wait the New Life Canvas cab top got here. A very long wait but as always Mona's products are perfect in every way. Well worth the wait.
I will post the last of the pics on this project when it finally stops snowing here and I can get the M37, M116 mule trailer and the...
Might as well add my 2 cents worth. I have been using John Deere corn head grease in all my MV winches and steering gear boxes for over 57 years. Never have had even the slightest problem with it. And if you have a slight leak problem it more than likely will clear it up.
When I got my...
Jim do you know that Molly's husband Jeff is a professional air brush/sign painter? I have seen his stuff and it is very well done.
This is the Norton I remember.
Still not reading the manuals huh? TM 9-8030 pages 407-408. Took me a couple of minutes to find it. I am done reading your posts as are most of the folks that know the answers or how to find the answers to your questions.
You really need to try to help yourself. If you read manual TM9-8030 page 255 it tells how to do the polarizing. As a mater of fact read the manual from page 1 to the end of the manual.
The easy/cheap way out if you are not a total purest.

I guess you did not absorb your original thread on adding a door spare tire. The data provided in that thread is correct.
Were I to make a guess I would bet the reason you only see the items you have listed now from the manual is because they are the items needed to replace/repair an...
I agree that were it me I would not rebuild a military issue M37 fuel pump as my first try at rebuilding a pump. And yes some of the NOS kits out there are old kits with the old material that does not like the new stuff they are calling gas. Just give these folks a call and they can give you...
You need to get a copy of MWO ORD G741-W7 it covers the adding of the spare tire to the drivers door. It gives you the instructions/parts etc.. To do it correctly you need a couple of metal items that need to be bolted and some welding is required to the inside of the door casing. I have not...
Back to the M37. Have it almost ready to hit the roads this spring in the Black Hills. As mentioned it will be a driver and not a show boat. Got the markings on yesterday and am waiting for the cab top to be made. Here are some pics of the current look of the unit. As is normal the lighting...
The M43 was always a top heavy unit. Drove them for years in the military. When you have 4 patients in the back you better pay attention when off road or you can roll them very easy. Many were rolled. And for many reasons it was not a good idea to put the heavy patients in the top litter...
I think the 5 people comment is about correct for Provo, SD Jim. By the way Benny Hatch is the person I got my Marston matting from for the Mule trailer. Jim I need to move the M101A3 trailer soon so I can put the Mule trailer in the pole barn. A deal can be had.
