That is strange. I had a friend that is a CAT field service person run my M35A3 engine number. He came up with everything about the engine, date first test, final test, date delivered and all the actual test results etc. Also all the other stuff relating to that particular engine.
Check with Glen (91W350) and see if he can help you with a fair price on an auto replacement transmission. I would think he can. He is a good troop. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?81601-BFR-Metals-Salina-Kansas-a-Goodie-Hole&highlight=91w350
The plug information can be found in the TM 9-2320-272-10 (version before the 2012 release) on page 2-220. This scheme has been used in almost all tactical military trucks since 1950 so it is not a new deal. I am surprised seeing how you have another M939 series truck that you have not read...
Good luck on the trip. Give me a shout if you need anything when you get in SD. I am 15 miles from Keystone in Custer. Shoot me a PM with your cell number and I will send you mine. I have many MV related items like tow bars, parts etc. 50 some years worth so I might just have what you need.
It has not been mentioned yet in this thread. But the M939 series is very popular with the foreign military sales (FMS) folks. There are tons of M939s in service with foreign countries and many more to go to FMS sales. FMS will take a very large bite out of the available M939s. And remember...
The great CARNAC is correct. Or you could just go directly to the LOGSA web site and download the manuals that exist for each and every one of the MWOs that apply to the M939 series of trucks. The manuals will tell you everything about the MWO.
Having read the manuals which are good I sort of like this vendor manual also. I follows the manuals but is easier to read I think.
It also has a better diagnostic equipment section. Check out PDF page 14 for the start of the diagnostic section. Talked to my friend the CAT field service man...
Tornadogt truck is looking good. You are doing good work. My deuce box should be here Thursday morning as hendersond and Squeak are bringing it out from Wisconsin. As mentioned before the M931A2 is ready for the installation. The next challenge is to get 3 M923 sections of troop seats (...
It is the smartest way to charge a battery. Avoid the quick charge. I use a cheap 1.5 amp maintainer charger I get from Walmart. Have had a dozen or so of them. Also put them on the truck when it is sitting for a while. A lot cheaper than buying batteries all the time...
This has happened many, many times over the years. GL does not control the requirement for an EUC. The federal government does. Many times the feds will re-classify the vehicle after an auction has closed and then GL is required to get an EUC from the buyer. I have seen folks told they need...
