    Germany to Italia

In 62-64 made the trip a few times from San Vito, near Brindisi, Italy to Germany. Nice ride in a good car though. Would not do it in a Fiat 600 however like some guys did .

    M931/32 2 inch receiver hitch

Now to change # 4. Welder buddy came over this weekend and here is what he came up with. He took a spare pintle hitch with him and will fab it up at his place. Removing the trailer electric connector without cutting the wires is not a problem as I have done it many times. Bumperetts have...

M932A1 with shorter drop side deuce bed

As you know I am also looking to add a 2 inch receiver hitch to my M931A2. Been looking at ways to fab one up. This past weekend my friend the welder came over and took a look. You are right a standard hitch will not work well. One of the main problems is how to run braces to the rear and...

Part number or source for brake lines? M54A2

Help yourself. Go to the above Technical Manuals tab and down load the parts manual. TM 9-2320-211-20P and read it. Then call the vendors and see who has the parts you need.

    M931/32 2 inch receiver hitch

Very nice looking hitch Pete. I put a class 5 CURT on my M35A3. Was about the right distance off the ground with just the tube.

    M931/32 2 inch receiver hitch

Bill I picked up the steel to make a hitch pretty much like yours. I got a 3 x 3 inch tube for the cross member as you recommended. I noticed that my CURT class five hitch used a 3 x 3 also so if it is good enough for them I will go with that. Not sure how to attach the cross tube to the side...

M 935 no low air buzzer or parking brake light

Well I do not think that would be a fib. More like a l fact. If people do not read the manuals then they will become very good friends of Eric soon. It will make him a very happy/well to do vendor.

M 935 no low air buzzer or parking brake light

rrrr is correct. Replace the box and you will be good to go. And remember to shut down the truck by turning the OFF/RUN/START switch off first, then turn off the battery switch. Correct shut down will make the fail safe box last longer. http://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/faalform9set.html

    M931/32 2 inch receiver hitch

Good Idea. Bill I think your design is more or less what I will go with. It looks like one has to make less hardware changes with your design. And can use some existing holes with only a couple needed to be added.

    M931/32 2 inch receiver hitch

Yes unless I go around the existing pintle hitch. I am thinking about a plate around the pintle hitch and all the way to under the two clevis mounts. With a few bolts towards the center of the cross member. Should have enough beef that way.

    M931/32 2 inch receiver hitch

I think your are on track Clinto. There is only 8 inches from the rear of the cross member to the flange on the differental. Flange is less than one inch from the front of the rear cross member. And about two inches below the rear frame cross member. Not a lot of area to work with. Thinking...

    M931/32 2 inch receiver hitch

That is a nice hitch. I have used it on many trucks. I have one here at this time. It will not fit on a M931/32 however. The frame is way to short on the tractors to allow for a decent attachment. The rear axle is way to close to the rear frame cross member. And the Curt will not fit under...

    M931/32 2 inch receiver hitch

Has anyone come up with a good solution for a 2 inch or 2.5 inch receiver hitch for a M931/32 tractor? Off the shelf Curt hitches etc. do not work to well. I want to leave the existing pintle hitch on the truck. I will move the taillight stuff to another location. I am thinking about...

Old dogs, new tricks !! Clinto's help in up-loading pictures.

Papabear I thought we old good looking troops were going to keep the ugly Clinto thing out of print so as to not bias the younger folks....... All kidding aside Clinto is a #1 person.

    Overspeed?

That instrument panel is from a M939A2. Overspeed as used on the M939A2 series applies to the operation of the CTIS. That indicator when lit indicates that the truck is running to fast for the CTIS operating range selected on the the CTIS control box on the left side of the transmission tower...
