The best place to advertise your need for a vehicle is in the classifieds ads section. This can be found at the top of the page under "resources". You can optionally post about what you want to do with it, and that is up to you. If you have never bought a military truck before: Because...

    military air conditioner

Gimpy, I would consider it, but where would I mount it? No trailers. Mike, those things are true. One issue is how to cool the condenser. About the controls, I do not like the modern electronic controls on the a/c units today. They tend to encourage less comfortable settings and if the...

    military air conditioner

Anyone have the higher TM electronically for this? I found the -24 on LOGSA TM 5-4120-355-24P but no others (any code) and might want to see more on this commerically made unit. Anyone know of a cheap inverter or chopper to make the 3 PH 400HZ from a 60Hz source? I've done small static...

dual 52" tires on a single axle deuce

well, if you can get some pics of those narrow tires, I bet a lot of uys would be interested, if they are highway tires. The ones in the garage picture look like the same size/width as the Goodyear 16.00x20's I have on my 5 ton. They are not narrow in my book, being about 16-18" wide. The ones...

    Re-introduction of Angry Iron

Well the purists always complain. They complain in every hobby where old stuff is involved. Guardians of what is authentic and/or regulation. That is their function and it is certainly as important as fantastic customized machinery. Kind of like yin & yang if such things are to be believed...

    multifuel dependabilty

Mine had >34000 miles on it, 17,000 highway miles on road trips, and was still running great with lots of oil pressure (30 at idle and 60 at speed) when I sold it. If the engines have been taken care of, there is no reason they cannot last.

    Amateur Radio

I did it with a genertator. 6KW diesel plumbed into the fuel tank. No running water. Two A/C units to cool the S-280. The electrical stuff I built in was very highly integrated for 120/240V, 12V, and 24V. There was a battery equalizer on the deuce, four 92AH AGM batteries in the shelter, and...

Crushing a Car with a Deuce.

<br /> Well that is a real good point you make there. Nobody hates youngsters or you, and it might come as a shock that educated people do not consider the already broken promise of SS money to be worth anything other than a suppliment or hobby money. I'd like to take a moment to address the...

Cornering the Market on Deuce Engines

As another person said, now everyone and their dog knows about it. That is unfair to those who work to diligently watch, thereby earning the opportunity. If the thread is still around when the item is closed, a discussion of the price of canned engines might be useful.

Electronics help with ipod listen on vic-1 intercom

In a pinch or to experiment, you can use any of these transformers. low Z goes to the player, hi Z goes to the intercom. beware do not connect a high power player to a step-up transformer (low volts or Ohms on one side, hi volts or Ohms on the other), there is such a thing as feeding too much...
