These guys are right, the tack cable is soooo easy! I did it in 20 minutes top, Just need the right wrench, like an offset, or a crows foot! I changed mine and decided to take the drive gear for it out to find that the guts of it were gone and thats why it didn't work so check that while you...
I just came in from installing a 24-12v converter, WOW! I found this Post! What is the best place to tap into the power + source on this truck, as the unit I have is designed to come n when the ignition is on? Is one place better than the next, and any quality way of adding it in, as I do not...
Thanks guys, you were right! The flasher control was an older style that I didn't even see. I changed it and they work perfect with the new unit installed, now I am gonna do my m818 cause it has the same symptoms! Thank you and thank steel soldiers for the help! Could not do it with out you!
I bought a new flasher control, and I have no idea where it is on my 70 Kaiser! There is one large box above the heater box in the cab, iarger than the flasher unit, is that it, is it inside? I am stumped?
Ok, let me put in my 2 cents worth! I have a repair shop and I use BG Products and love them if you are not familiar look them up. Yesterday I used a compression restorer for diesels and in 30 minutes my truck smoothed out (5 ton) and ran great. Oil pressure was better, and so was the idle...
That is the best post i have seen yet, thanks for sharing that! I live in sh**ty florida and that made my day seeing someone living life to the fullest! God bless you!
I got under my m818 and the front right boot clamp was open, not torn! Already had a zipper boot installed, and when I went to pull it back gear lube dumped out of it! That does not seem right, I would assume the inner bearing seal is leaking, but I would appreciate some input. I do not feel...
Actually I did not do it! The man who did is very good at it! I just got it Friday, and yes he did cut the front. Just thought you might like to see it!
Heres the problem! My M818 reads pegged beyond full on both fuel tanks when switching. The gauge does not move at all, just pegged over full! Both sending units can't be bad, so probably a bad gauge. Does any one have any thoughts on this or a gauge?
I just received my awesome m818 on Friday! Just like my m35a2 the turn signals work outside the cab on both sides, but only flash on the column when they want to mostly after they have been run a bit? Any ideas, bulbs are good inside, just intermittent!
