There's room to put a 20,000lb Garwood with roller fairlead up under behind the pintle hook. The tapered sides of the fairlead are almost the same angle as the two angled braces going to the pintle.

Heck...we used to reinforce the front of a large plastic luggage cap and put an arm chair in it. The person on the four wheeler would try to get the 'sled' going fast enough around a turn to cause centrifugal force to topple the person and chair out of the thing! Man...that was living. All...

What I've found with being around 4bt swaps and my own diesel swaps into trucks with deep gearing is that deep gearing makes the truck feel very mechanical. Like you give it fuel and it jerks forward...lift from the pedal and you fall forward. A taller rear gear would lessen the mechanical...

I'm a Chevy guy...and I know a small block swap is about as easy as it can get but they're done to death. I like seeing some dare to be different now and then. Like a Buick 'Nail Head' or a 348 or 409 Chevy or Caddy or 354 Hemi or the like. Anyway- whatever you end up with, have fun!

Can you keep a Caddy 472 or 500 cool? A stock 472 with TH400 would give ya all the grunt you could want and catch some Caddy cool factor. :)
