    My GMC, a little update

Your cylinder heads look great! New stuff is always great! Clean engine and full flowing and cooling radiator will make for one smooth running Jimmy! No doubt about taking some down time from the truck. In tempatures like that I would be wanting to work in the middle of night with huge flood...

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

Well I have done a ton of math!!! Ugh!! I do have an older 12v 5.9L. It is a 92. Not the dreaded #53 block as far as I can tell from all the casting numbers. I have crunched the number from 6.17 all the way to 4.11's for ring and pinion gears. The 4.11's would at give me the following numbers...

    My GMC, a little update

Totally wicked awesome!!! Gotta love it when swag heads your way!!! That's a great save checking your intakes and valves. A little maitenance before cranking that bad boy over for some run in time saved you from probable headaches in the future. When the little voice in the back of your head...

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

Well ****! It was my understanding that the larger the tire the potental for smaller (rubber) gearing. I have read lots of threads on here of how guys are getting better highway speeds and milage with larger tires. I also figured that if I went with a better tranny with lower ratios to start...

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

Ok quick update! No I haven't gotten the motor locked down yet. Yes I am going to have to cut the firewall. I am also going to have to move the transfer case back as well since the Getrag 360 five speed is hard mated to its own transfercase and there is no way to make it dissapear without lots...

    G749 preservation

Great looking valve cover! A clean, timed, gaped, and new point 302! Bet it sounds great! Hey if I ever get my M135 with the 5.9L running we could get together with Gunfreak and have an all out showdown. Stock and two modifieds! 302 inline, 6.2L , and 5.9L.

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

Hit another snag in the engine swap!!! I thought things were going to smooth! I finally started to finalize lining things up and dropped the motor in place for clearance of the axle and hood. Now the new problem of lining it up to centre in the frame and inline with transfer case. The flexplate...

Yeeehaaaw!!! I sure hope the pics post up with this! Just had the neighbor over with the big tractor to help me put the 6bt into the truck. Keep in mind it is only sitting on a cradle of chains and wood. It fits like a glove!!!!!!!! I almost wet my pants when I had it sitting almost where I...

    My GMC, a little update

If your gonna move to Canada ya need to pick the right place to go to. I used to live in Edmonton as a youngin, salright. Lived in Saskatchewan, both territories, and now British Columbia. All have their perks but as far as weather I would say here in British Columbia. Nice and hot in the summer...

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

Yea know. I love the look of these rigs no matter what color they are!! Seen yellows, white, blue, GREEN, red, tan, just off the top of my head. Rust brown even looks good!! Looks great M1010plowboy!! I have been toying with the idea of a cradle for the 5.9L but am worried about axle clearance...

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

I do plan on cleaning up and repainting the 5.9L once all the final mods are done with for mounting. I have been searching and searching the web for some different engine mounts that I don't have to mess around with to much. Can't seem to find any front mounts that 54hms mentioned. Further...

    My GMC, a little update

Wow Titan T hawks would be nice!!! Since I just googled them to see what they look like. Insert sheapish smile here. To bad they aren't that cheap up here. I hear what you were saying before on working in the dirt on these rigs. I am 6'2" and 220lbs. Got my share of bang, ouch! Tool tossing...

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

Ok ok! Here are the pics! Not to much special about the paint or application of it. Unless you count some blow back in your face from the odd gust of wind. Knew I should have bought the brush on rustoleom instead of 12 buck rattle can rock guard! Now if the pics come up in proper sequence, first...

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

Thanks for all of the support for me to do what I want with my rig! I plan on doing what I feel I need to with this rig since I will be my farm/business service rig. If the truck had been in better condition when I found her it may have gotten restored. As I said in earlier posts there are...
