I never knew Massey Ferguson built any LDT465's .
 Glad you fired it up, cool vid. You planning on any power steering? Its probably pretty torquey with alot less wieght then a deuce i bet.
Please provide an example of a 15w40 oil that is for gasoline engines only. There could be a such thing, I just have never seen it. There is some 15w40's out there for natural gas engines that I am aware of. Those I would say don't use in a deuce UNLESS you convert it to natural gas.
Any reputable 15w40 would work IMO. What synthetic do you use in your diesels over there? I would be very suprised to hear that it wouldn't work in a deuce.
Oh yeah. Then there is that.
If it is the last thong I ever smell, I hope it's worth it.
  I am convinced. In the very unlikely event that I ever have a chance to burn crude oil, I will pass it up and go fill up with #2 diesel.
LOL, great info though
It's the master cyl or the air pack in all likelyhood. I would go with a new MC either way, so you could try that first. If that isn't it, there has been a great thread here recently about air pack rebuilding. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/82753-my-airpack-rebuild-photos.html Check it out...
When I have oil pressure gauge concerns, I like to get a new mechanical one (which are pretty inexpensive) and hook it up to wherever they read the oil pressure on the engine. That means remove the electric sending unit if the truck has an electric gauge, and hook up the hose for the new gauge...
Everyone is entitled to their opinion (like the guy that works in the bay next to your friend) and anybody can run whatever fuel they want for all I care. I have to offer another theory as to what happened, based on a well known property of biodiesel.
1. Biodiesel acts as a very effective...
It could be just about anything. Have you ever checked the level of brake fluid? That's a good place to start. Ofcourse doing a search on SS and reading in the TM'S would also be a good idea. There is countless brake failure threads on SS. Good luck.
I was taught that it is best just to use whichever brake fluid you are going to use esp for seals that hold brake fluid in. Now if there is some o-rings in an area that only seals air and not brake fluid, the forementioned o-ring lube or air tool oil should do the trick.
DIND DING DING !!! :-) Drive your deuce as is to more local events and load it up for the rest....Camo the F-800 if nessesary 2cents
Could the F-800 with trailer be set up to be towable behind the deuce for a backup plan? Legally? OK that was asking too much
I got a 50 lb bag of recycled glass media from Northern Tool. Great stuff and it was only 9 bucks I think. 2/3 of the bag is under the blaster yet as seen in the pic. Just needed to add a little to get the blaster feeding nice and consistant.
One thing I have found about owning that cabinet...
970 Detailer
Better late then never, here is an update on my blasting cabinet choice. I went with the "970 Detailer" from TP Tools & Equipment . I wanted to get decent air plumbing to it before doing a review. (As opposed to just plugging my airhose to the foot control)
It is great for what...
That would be best, without a doubt. Now could you get away with just pumping DOT 3 in the system? Maybe, and I am sure it has been done. I just know its best to start with fresh rubber seals in everything as one fluid tends to shrink rubber, while the other expands it. Also like you said, just...
Hey Loco. Just my opinion which is based on what I was taught at a vo-tech, don't switch to DOT 3 unless you are going through everything. (MC, air pack, ALL wheel cyls, replace flex hoses, best job humanly possible to clean hard lines) I have always advocated that it would be great to do that...
That would be a terrible thing to have happen. I am glad to hear that your hearing has recovered. I have had chunks of dirt, rust, and whatever else fall in my ears while under a vehicle. Now at 46 I am finally learning to use ear muffs , not only for there intended purpose of saving your...
In theory, the fuel mileage should increase at a given actual speed. Say 55 mph as read by a GPS. That would be due to slower engine RPM. Otherwise one of the biggest reasons to make that change would just be for a bigger, beefier look. They would have better flotation as well, but that would...
