:ditto: Can't really see were you could have hurt anything. Blow through that overflow tube and see to it that it is open. Recheck the coolant level, twist on a new cap and you should be good to go.
Yep, that lever runs the dump box hydraulic valve and the rear pto output as well. If it is not working right, there could be some frozen up or improperly adjusted linkage. Let us know how it works out.
I was also confused and thought runflats and beadlocks were the same thing. Looks like I have a set of Hutchinson beadlocks. Thanks for the info!! Hutchinson Industries - Our Products
Well I just took a measurement on one of mine that came out of the 14.00s that were on my dump truck. It was 8" wide. It has been off for over a year so maybe it is getting uncompressed now and they are a full 8". It says "Hutchinson cage# 62161" on it.
Anybody interested in 6 of these? I...
Another question is, is there any reason that the run flats need to be installed? I can understand why you would want them in there in a combat situation, but in the civy world, you just need to change the tire when you have a flat.
We have just added more used 2005 through 2007 units to the fleet this week.
That's what I would do too as long as you can. Farm equipment also has def to add and all of the other emission trimmings. The 2010 and older stuff has very rapidly climbed in value.
As far as emission equipment goes on new iron, I agree that military vehicles should be exempt from anything that is'nt extremely reliable. On modern day civy big rigs, its just a fact of life that has to be lived with. I have heard some horror stories and complaints about this stuff. This new...
Thus far I agree with this post. A little google work yielded this EPA Issues Regulations on Heavy Trucks Gas Emissions - Fox News Video - Fox News But nothing there lead me to believe old MVs or even my 17 year old Volvo semi will be affected.
Looks like it could be true. $400-a-gallon: our cost to deliver fuel to Afghan military bases | AtisSun Media Most of the cost is the cost of air dropping it to the bases. WOW
Sure, sell the hooch for 15 bucks a gallon and buy 3 gallons of gas with the money to thin the oil. Seriously tho I would just use gas and/or diesel to do that job. I think there is alot of threads on the portions of each that different guys like to use.
The tax comment is a good...
I'm thinkin' it will work. RTV so thin it is almost like you are painting the gasket with it. There is alot of products that people use. Like mentioned before, aviation permatex gasket sealer, Hi-Tack (I like the stuff in the spray can. Both the red and the high temp copper) Each mechanic is...
...and as a tow for my fifth wheel trailer...
Just to be clear, did you really mean fifth wheel, or did you mean pintle hitch? If you wanted a fifth wheel hitch, you should get a tractor mv or something. Just wanted to check.:o
I don't know for sure, but I am betting he means fifth wheel...
Glad you are OK. That is some pretty serious damage to your deuce. I like your plan of getting another deuce from GL or maybe even keeping your eye open for one in CL. After all you had decent insurance it sounds like. Many good parts there for you to salvage off your totalled deuce. Stuff to...
Do a great job of cleaning those gasket surfaces too, being very careful not to let the crap fall in where it don't belong. Your call on reusing or not. New is always best. Spread that RTV thin on the gaskets to keep the squishing out to a minimum.
You must have an online honey somewhere west of you eh :-D Ya, if your planning on coming out this way in the future and you want to stop by, just PM me ahead of time. The 817 bodywork is for the most part off the truck and awaiting blasting, repairs. I was going to hold off on the updates as I...
Hi from SE MN . Welcome to the site and enjoy . I dont have a CUCV but I got a deuce and a M817 dump truck scattered all over my shop. Look me up if you are ever down this way. (Austin area) Dean
Welcome to the site and best of luck on the cargo cover. By all means feel free to post some pics of your deuce. It would be great to have a look at it and hear a little about it..
