Over 60 and still in decent shape considering the crazy/stupid stuff I subjected myself to between sports and working on the drilling rigs including helicopter jobs in Alaska for 10 years.

Right. The first 2 digits x 100 = torque rating in ft/lbs, so I'd want 16 or bigger. I have that on pallet rack, but haven't made sure it is an overdrive. It sure would be nice if the one in the cabover truck I'm parting out was big enough since it would have all the clutch, flywheel, etc...
That would be more efficient for sure, but a lot more money. I think I have a good 13 speed take out on a pallet rack out back and I'm parting out a Kenworth cabover with a 13 speed hooked up to a Detroit. (probably too light duty for the 8V92 though)

There are lots of variables, but the rule of thumb is not to exceed 180 degrees F. However, the maximum temperature can be quite a bit lower lower if you have a low viscosity hyd oil. The lower viscosity is what hurts the wear parts in hydraulic pumps & motors, but high temperatures shorten...
Mixed results with that. Trucking companies want to get loaded & on their way, but don't want to get pinned down on an appointment time. Sometimes it works & sometimes not. One pretty good size trucking company with a yard in the area quit going out there because of delays in getting loaded out.
