If you are needing the fuel tank as a spare for the driver side of the truck, a passenger side fuel tank might not work. I was going to try that. Got to looking at where the fill spout would be.... Way under the bed in the back.
If you are hoping to add an additional fuel tank, you will need...
That's great they gave you permission to export them, I was wondering about that. Good on you for doing the paperwork needed.
My brother lives in David, Panama. Is that close to your place?
Uncovered is scary!
I used a local agent. The first Progressive agent I used was my regular one. She was worthless. So I called the one I had used previously who wanted my business back. Had me covered same day.
I told them it was a 1967 Kaiser Jeep 2.5 Ton Truck S/N xxxxx and what the gross...
They know exactly what the truck is and they chose to insure it. It isn't cheap, about $80 per month, and it has a really large cap, and is licensed as a truck, not an antique. I am not going by their website, but rather the policy that they issued.
I had no problem getting Progressive to insure mine. It is licensed as a truck but not for commercial hauling. It is expensive but I have max liability and can use it every day, which I do.
Good idea. I manage a bunch of mail servers and our biggest difficulty is to get people to clean out their mailboxes. I can't seem to get the message across that every message costs money to store. It's not free, it costs someone money.
Running around with no payload, does anyone know at what ambient temperature you might need a fan for cooling?
I am considering just removing mine.
My truck now stays below 180 all the time, typically 160 to 170, so I am not sure the thermostat is even opening. Temperature measured with new...
I have an Isspro pyrometer. It does require 12v to operate. I changed the light to 24v but the guage has an electronic gizmo box that uses 12v. I called them after I received it and they had another gizmo, similar to a resistor that they sold me to put in series with it. It was not the best...
I have one a friend gave me to use for a template. I will go out and measure it. If it fits, you can have it.
Edit:
14 3/4" x 7 1/2" is what I have = FAIL!
Sorry.
I was thinking to put another fuel tank in that space too.
What a great discussion!
How about this for simplicity? Cut a chain with a grab hook on one end, just the right length, and weld a tab with a hole in it to the truck bed frame that you could attach the other end of the chain to with a...
If he is going to super singles, the spare won't fit where the original did. From what I -hear- most people who run super singles don't carry a spare. I think the idea was to chain up the axle to get to where you could get the flat fixed. I have seen this idea offered here as a way to get by.
Eggzachary!
They are mine, figure those wheels are made for a lot heavier truck than a Deuce. I bought them from Clint, and his service and product was great. You can buy them through his ebay store or PM me for his contact info.
I had same issue. Discussion and a lot of help offered here:

The tires were new from GL, as in never mounted, new old stock with 2004 date code. They didn't have any flat spots but thanks for the heads up, I will watch for that. I guess when you buy used tires you have to accept the possibility that they are not perfect. They have not been balanced as of...
