Are referring to the head light connectors? If so , an adapter can be fabricated using a commercial bulb socket that adapts to the mil. Connectors. You will still need 24 v bulbs. Search the threads , one was recent regarding the adapter.
That is the shutter stat that controls the cooling fan clutch. Disassemble , clean, replace o rings , lube, reinstall , top off coolent fluid , start engine, cross fingers, and read the tech manual. If fix is " no joy", replace with new.
I pull a M146 (single axle box trailer) with my 931A1 regularly, height issue is not an issue, however the clearance between the trailer landing gear and rear wheel of the tractor can cause an issue. Also, the mud flaps need to be removed or they will get hung up. Double check the clearance...

I stock the spin on oil filter adapter kit for NHC 250, listed in the classified, for when you service it, makes oil
filter changes a breeze.

I think the paint job came out nice, now just the placards/unit markings. A quick google search will reveal all kinds of Vietman era photos.

Second that diagnosis, sitting that long, fuel has long turned to tar/varnish, may have to pull the fuel system accessories and clean/ purge them. At least it is not locked up.
Had a very similar event occur with a lot located at a PA GL site, after many calls and follow up, GL refunded original purchase price (credited to the credit card on file) then I paid the 25% default fee via certified funds to reactivate my account. I was back in action, lesson learned; lots...
