Betcha not enough CCA, either batts too small or too old. When I got my truck, PO had put two small batts in it. Fully charged, wouldn't start without a jump. I think they need group 31 size, about 1,000 CCA each.

Load test. What does the voltage meter in the truck (or better yet, a meter on the batts themselves) do when you attempt to crank?

In my (vast ;-) ) experience with other vehicles, lockers and larger tires make a huge difference. But skill can negate it. Other thing is you guys are in mud and I’m in the desert...

Don't try this at home! EDIT: If your Injection pump is not getting fuel, and you run the engine on an alternative fuel source like this, you will likely destroy your hydraulic head, because it is lubricated by fuel. Video of it running on "alternative fuel supply"...
