There is a part on the PTO that has to be unbolted to get the PTO out. It's about 4" long and tapers in width. The widest end is roundish. I will try to find a pic.
There is a problem with the nuts on the short drive shaft coming loose. I found a green nut on the ground where I park my Deuce. Not good. Looked around underneath and found that a couple nuts were missing and some were loose. Replaced them all with new lock nuts.
I started cleaning up the Tool Trailer. Never noticed that the data plate says it's serial number 16. One of the earliest made, 1961. Thought it was kind of neat.
Glen Alpine, NC.
My son is in the Air Force and always gives me a hard time for having the flag on the left side of the truck. This year I remembered to put it on the right. Now I know why it was always on the left before this year. Exhaust darkened the flag. Some of it washed out. Can't...
Inside the throat of the intake should be a fitting facing the incoming air and a fitting facing away. The tubing from the first fitting runs to the distributor, cools the coil, then returns to the intake via the tubing to the second fitting. Vital that the proper flow is there. I had trouble...
That was always my complaint about using the Deuce for getting firewood - way too high. Tried it twice. Wore my sons and I out. Then I found a M353 gen trailer. It has a nice low deck.

Haven't used the cover for my 1953 M101A1 in ages. Was reorganizing my wood shop where the cover was stored nice and dry. Found it filled with black ants. Threw it out on the driveway and fold after fold had ants. Sprayed while unfolding, and as I unfolded it I saw holes. Many small holes...
First of all, this is not mine. My son got a new job, and his boss is getting rid of some stuff. I went by today and looked at it. Pics tell the story, and I asked his boss for a price. But he said to see what it's worth. He does have a title and tires are newish.
Just trying to help...
My nephew is a SSgt in the Marines, 9 years experience as a diesel mechanic and recovery operator with two tours in the Middle East. He hates those ibis tow bars. Nuff said.
