Yes, I have. And in the State of Georgia, if the trailer doesn't have a plate on it with a serial number on it, homemade or former military vehicle, they will allow you to make your own plate with serial number. It has to be reviewed by a LEO and paperwork signed by him however.
Love those...
I'm pulling out of this one. The price is exceptional.
If anyone else wants to give it a shot, you won't hurt my feelings.
Just letting everyone know there is still a great deal out there if you can work it out.
The A2 has air over hydraulic brakes and 9X20 NDTs. The A3 has surge brakes, taller truck highway style tires.
The surge brakes on the A3 make it a heavy duty trailer that is possible to carry on the highway with a 1/2 ton pickup while loaded, assuming the surge brakes are in good working order...
I have the cash or the credit card. Just need to get those answers from GL.
I'm still standing by...
I'm going to try to buy some other junk next week at that location so I wish they would hurry up and answer the questions so I can plan on making the bids and pickups together.
Always good to...
You can always make an offer. No one should pay that especially if non running. Once running there is no telling what you will have to get into. I'm in the process of doing a $900 brake refurbishment job on my M-37, for instance.
The winch is nice but you can't test it. I'm not even sure I would...
Anybody have an invoice transferred to their name lately at GL. I'm trying to buy these and I guess we need a manager.
Both buyer and seller feel the best and easiest way to work this is if I pay GL direct but the gal at GL never heard of doing this so I thought I would ask if anyone else has...
OH, Heck yes!
Check the surge brakes and make sure they work, $200 value, and you might want to consider dropping the size of the tires, but as far as the weight goes, no problem at all.
The 395s are a hot commodity for the deuce with the $110 adapter plates and about $70 worth of nuts and bolts to hold them on.
One of the best tires to mount on a bobber.
You shouldn't have any trouble getting your money back. How much did you pay for them if you don't mind the question.
Murphy at it again. I now replaced half my brake lines, both wheel cylinders up front, both shoes up front, master, bled all brakes up front, and brakes are worse and will not bleed out. No sign of leaks. It's been 30 years since I've bled any brakes but am guessing they won't pump up now...
That IS very nice. I have always been a big believer there is money to be made in this kind of conversion.
The tires might have to be more of the M1061 style and lower then the 9X20s on the A2's.
I would love to own one like that but lack welding skills.
