Working On The M561 Gama Goat

I wish I were closer and could lend a hand, I am by no means an expert but I know some. I am fortunate to have a friend who works on detroits and other things to help me with mine. I was gonna go the White Owl route myself and get one of their takeout motors, but I am kinda stubborn and want...

Let me know if you stumble onto another kit like that, off to Red River tomorrow, got a list of part numbers longer than my leg. Hoping for the best, after talking to him on the phone last week...

    Goat treasure found in Oklahoma

Good question, didn't see that in the tm, most units I was in had their own load plans. I would guess maybe stuffed under the passenger seat, or wherever it would fit.

    Tire Wear/Electrical

Sadly all the above is true, love the Goat as it is unique to say the least, but she is a problem child that requires lots of TLC. I only plan on doing the old motorpool restoration on mine just to get her up to -10 standards and make her fully MC and just have fun with it. Don't think I would...

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

Mark thought I would just throw out this suggestion, talked to a friend of mine about you problem. He was a CW3 maintenance officer and used to work at the big Mainz rebuild shop back in the day. He opined that it would not hurt to re-torque the head bolts, it might be enough to make the o ring...

    Mep-015a

Got it running off of a small plastic lawnmower tank. Got it lined out at 61.8 herz, it would run good for a couple minutes then die. Did 3 or 4 interations of this, then decided to check the governor on the side of the carb, it was disconnected, duh, Will hook it up tomorrow and start over on...
