    Nice M792 Ambulance

As with most army museums the vehicles are in sorry shape with no preservation. This very complete nice truck won't be so in a few more years, still has batteries and some fuel in the tanks. Looks like you could get it running in a short period of time. It's a shame, and reminds me of how far I...

    Nice M792 Ambulance

I think those are all gone Mark, that's where my sons unit used to be. Almost all new buildings here now. They are even tearing down the last of the WW II buildings. I may swing by Wal-Mart and buy some tools and go back:-D

Good work Mark, that seems like a good idea on steering, I too would be interested to know where you got the nos bearings. I must apologize as I will not be able to send the Arkansas care package till I get back from west coast, just ran out of time.

Try turning the motor with a socket on the camshaft pulley, on the left in this pic. Easier to reach than the crankshaft, got mine to turn by hand(breaker bar) I think it was just my clutch plate that was stuck.

    Recent Goat threads/interests.

Looks like mine never had a radio installed, probably won't go there myself but I could see the value of installing a vic 1 system.

I have joined the Goat herd

Made some progress here as well. No pics as I was working alone and upside down in the drivers hole! My truck's clutch brake and accelerator pedals were pretty much stuck. In fact the accelerator would not move at all. So I robbed one off the parts truck and lubed everything while I was in...
