    M105A1 Trailer??

I do believe the M105 trailers all run the 20" wheels... same as the deuce. That would mean one great big dip at the hitch... I don't even want to think about how you'd ever stop that thing. The brakes on the M105 are air actuated... got compressor? I think the M101 would be the...

    Looking for exhaust pipe hanger

Hey Catlett, Thanks much for the offer! Don't worry about it now though. I wound up just going to the local muffler shop in town and for not much, they hooked me up with a couple of new hangers and welded them up too. Good as new! Wow, no rear exhaust? I bet it makes some noise! :lol...

    Looking for exhaust pipe hanger

Well looks like the frame hanger is broken, and I'm missing the one that holds the muffler up too. So I'm off to the parts store to see what I can fab up. Thanks anyway guys!

So what's the next big repair/upgrade on your CUCV?

Bodywork and paint here... but the CUCV has 2 resto projects in front of it before that happens :) (in order on my sig line)

    Looking for exhaust pipe hanger

Thanks for the suggestion Matt. And that's my fall-back plan. I'm just trying to keep it all original. Possibly to my detriment. :) Dunno if they're the same on the 1008 or not. I'll snap a photo this evening of the one I still have and post. Thanks guys!

    Looking for exhaust pipe hanger

Hi All, While looking over the M1009 yesterday, I discovered that the rearmost exhaust hanger on the passenger side was broken. :( Does anyone have a parts truck equipped with a servicable rear exhaust pipe hanger with the rubber isolator? This is the one that's bolted to the rear leaf...

    M1009 Lower Radiator Hose

Hi All, I'm trying to replace the radiator hoses on my CUCV and ran into a bit of a problem. I went down to NAPA and had the guy look up the hoses for the civvy Blazer, and the upper hose was the same, but the lower one was different. So I bought the upper one, went home and got the part #s...

    Black out lights

Has anyone tried using the M880 style lights and just swapping the connectors? Or would that even work? I need one or two also, and was just trying to come up with alternatives.

    Manual tranny in CUCV

Thanks for the assist Mike... I wasn't sure about the t/c stuff. And it's very true, the parts are all out there. Chevy built nearly every truck in every configuration you can think of over the years... so interchange is pretty easy. And congrats on the new baby! [thumbzup]

    Manual tranny in CUCV

Anything is possible... Now, assuming we're talking about a Blazer here.... If I were to attempt such a conversion, I would track down a manual 4x4 Chevy truck of a similar vintage and pull all the goodies off it for the conversion. Finding all the gear boxes, brackets, pedals and other...

What axle gear oil to use?

For the transfer case, the CUCV LO calls for ATF and not gear lube. I wouldn't use anything other than what the LO specifies. I think the reason for this is that the trans and t/c are mated together. The t/cs that run gear oil are usually separated from the trans or bolted to a manual...

    Looking for belt part numbers

Thanks for the info Armada. One worry I have tho, if you run those belts tighter, won't that wear out the bearings in the alternators in a big hurry? I did get some numbers from a helpful guy over on the "G". Here's what he put on his CUCV: Power steering belt Dayco 15455 Alternator 1...

    Looking for belt part numbers

Hi All, I've decided I need to change out the belts on my M1009 and was wondering if any of you have the civvy part numbers that I can take to NAPA and get some nice new ones. Apologies if this has been posted before or somewhere else, but my searches came up with nothing. Thanks in advance!

That lift looks great! Nice job. And it sure looks mighty purdy up under that front fenderwell. All nice and shiny clean and such. [thumbzup]
