Guys, FYI:
For everyone going to Camp Delta (Tower Park) please be aware that:
From Monday, April 13th through Thursday, April 16th Highway 12 Westbound between Interstate 5 and the bridge at Terminous (the bridge right next to Tower Park) will be one lane only...
I'll be there with my Mutt from Monday - Sunday. Can't wait!
BTW, all the info about the event is on the MVCC website:

I feel your pain Bruce. Last summer I picked up 6 8.25 - 20 NDTs from Wallace Wade at the Portland Convention. I tried to pre order from him a few months before the convention, but he wouldn't take my order then as he was waiting to get enough volume to justify his shipment. So by the time he...
Will Kascar sell mil parts to the unwashed masses? Last time I looked at their website it said no military parts sales to anyone but the military.
First off, post some photos. That will help a great deal in the identification process. And besides, everyone LOVES a good photo or two! As far as parts go, since it's an IH, try your local International dealer. I'm restoring a '42 M-3-4 IHC, and they often can find parts for my truck. As...
Bruce,
It's the wrong side of the country for you, but NOS kits are available here:

Outstanding Ted! I'm loving the way your project is coming together! [thumbzup] It helps me keep motivated on my fire truck project so that I can start on my Humvee.
Fantastic Ted! Looking and sounding excellent!!! Congrats on getting this far. I've really enjoyed watching you work on your project, as I can't start on mine for a while.:not worthy:
Over on the diesel page, they have a lot of good things to say about this outfit:

Might be a good place to start at least.
With my 2 LCD flat panels right next to each other, FF on one and IE on the other, here's what I see:
In IE the orange text is slightly closer to an amber hue than in FF
In FF, the OD green (both background and table cell bkgd areas) are a few shades closer to brown in IE
Hope that helps
Chris,
That looks like one project you can really sink your teeth into! Congrats!!! I just hauled my latest project home (HMMWV), so I'm sharing with you in the new project euphoria! :D
The -34P shows a gasket (or seal) between the trans and the adapter, and a gasket between the xfer case and the adapter. I don't find the removal instructions in the TMs that I have either. Chilton's will be similar, if not the same.
There may be a gasket in there, but I can't say as I remember now. Have to look at the TM to be sure. But I think you're right, if it's leaking there, you've likely got seal issues elsewhere. But again, I'd need to look at the TM to be sure... been working on my Mutt too long and have...
You guys should make your Fontana bone yard run over the xmas holiday time... I say that selfishly because I'll be in Victorville for xmas and maybe I could go :D
If it were me, if I dropped the trans / xfer, I would indeed change out the rear main seal on the engine, as well as the transfer case rear output seal and anything else that might be easily accessible while things are apart. I don't know that I would split up the trans and xfer unless it was...
