So my little brother stops by today with his bobbed duece that I built for him. He tells me it's leaking something and wants mr to check it out so I lift the hood and I'm trying to see this oil leak behind the air pump and I look down and long behold there is a LDS injector pump on his truck his...
I'm meeting with a guy today that can test these two ip's. It might take a few days but I hope to have an answer. It would be nice to find out that you swap out a spring in all our ldt's and then the injector pumps are the same.
I know there's been a lot of talk about the single hole vs two...

So are we really thinking this injector on the lds does more than the one on the ldt I looked them over today and they are defintly different part #'s guess it's time to pull them off and send them to the local diesel performance shop for testing let's find out. I know sone one was already going...
just a thought if on all of our LDT engines we have the fuel adjustment screw to increase fuel which i have played with on mine what would be the need to have an injector pump made to increase fuel when a few turns of the screw already do that? i believe it has been widely stated that the 2 hole...
i couldn't wait so i went out and pulled the injectors here's what i found:
the LDS had a single hole injector made by united technolodies USA part #akf13056614a rebuilt in 1987
the LDt had 2 hole injector made by international italy part# 130sm-6844b2 rebuilt in 1990
i kinda expected to find...
ok i'm gonna start with the injectors i will pull them out tomorrow and see what the difference is then its the injector pump.
i gather there is a oil grove in the pistons and while this will definitely help with engine life i don't think it makes more horse power
HG's is this head gasket?
I have read plenty of threads about the LDS VS LDT motors. and have found no conclusive evidence that says there is anything more then a bigger turbo making the extra 90hp so as i have both motors siting in my drive way i'm looking to get to the bottom of this once and for all. disassembly time...

Sorry, everyone I,m a bit new to the threads. I didn't realize everyone left this much feed back
I will be starting the part down next week so I still have the whole truck. My friend placed some claims to the winch and drive componets. I think I'm gonna keep the hydro steering and the turbo. But...

Wheels: I was actually wondering if something had been done to the wheels I have seen the stock wheels with changed off set I didn't know if that's what you did here
looks cool too. did it quiet the truck down when you ran the exhaust out the back? my friend put a huge muffler on his and it made no difference at all.
