May want to think about backing in, if it's not to long of a driveway. Let the duals pack the snow down a bit so the front doesn't dig in so bad. Just a thought.
I can't remember if I've read this in any of the other threads but what about putting a magnet after the filter to help remove the finer metal particales.
Maddawg, yep that's my wifes rig, a retired Coast Guard firetruck from Airstation Kodiak, and she lets me drive it sometime and her sister is already married and she thinks I corrupted my wife anyway.
Armada, nice pic
Hey Lee, yep I have the 'jewelery' ready to put on if I need it or if someone calls for a little tug. Right after the pic I was out there knocking the snow off the roof and hood and fenders. I figure I'll only have to do that another 30 to 40 times this winter. Gotta love Alaska.
We finally got about a foot of snow so winters finally here. So I got a picture of the deuce and thought I'd post it up. Now just waiting for the next 10 to 20 feet of snow to fall. Gotta love Valdez.
I also just picked up 2 of these heaters and haven't had a chance to play with them yet. I'm looking forward to experimenting with them to see how they burn on WVO and WMO. The guy selling them said that you can burn both but we'll see.
Or even get a little more creative and get a tow bar, hook it up to one of the M35's, put your daily driver (if a smaller car) in the back of that and then tow it with the M52. Some of the people I work with here think I'm a bad influence or at least their wives think so.
You should keep at least one of them. Put your daily driver in the back and let the CG move the deuce. I used mine to pull my travel trailer when I transferred from Kodiak to Valdez.
The wife told me to shut up and buy one. She got tired of hearing about how great of a vehicle they are and it would be a good rig for when I retire. Alaskan SUV (super utility vehicle).
RE: Weasel
Yorkqulch2: as far as I know, I don't know if the top is original or if something fab'd up. I'm thinking it's not original equipment for there is also 2 'roll bars' inside also.
DDoyle: thankyou for the info for parts. I'm sure I'll be needing some before long. Also, I don't look...
I traded a CJ5 for this from a private party. He used it for back country moose hunting up here. Been checking and there seems to be a few places where I can get parts, don't know how much it will cost but they are out there. As far as I know the miles/hours are original so overall not many...
