Welcome! Better be ready for a day of work if something is wrong. A wrecker usually runs between $700-$1500. I would call and ask several wrecker services what you can do before I bid on anything. I have recovered a few items from there, sometimes you have good luck and other times you go...
I'll let someone more experienced answer that question, but you are describing what mine is doing almost exactly. When mine sits up the throttle sticks when it first cranks, then I get a erratic idle, then when hot I get use of the throttle but it still idles up and down. I ran some fuel...
No problem, if it were me I would keep it simple with the build as far as the engine goes. You can always set the engine a little lower if needed and I know for sure it is narrower than a V8 or multifuel. Find you some od green paint and paint it, not too many people will catch it right off...
States Farm wouldn't touch mine and I have used them for at least 15 years! Make sure you tell the insurance company this is a recreational vehicle that is 13000lbs and will be used to go camping and such, don't give them a reason to question you. I had an issue finding some as well, they...
You will have between 36-38" without the fan you need to have out of the way, that is rear of the block to the water neck. The valve covers will be a few inches shorter in length, I didn't get a height or width, it was dark and it's late...lol. I can measure more if needed, just let me know...
the variance in measurement is due to what the engine application is and if it is equipped with and components on the front. i have an engine with a front case and rear adapter on it, i'll measure it tonight if i remember.
if you need some help with the cummins side of things pm me and i'll...
i have a 12 valve laying on a pallet in my shop, would you like me to get you a measurement? the conversion won't be very hard, you have a choice of transmissions as long as you have the right adapter plate. fyi: a 4BT adapter plate can be used on a 6BT if you find something you like there...
ha ah Andrew!!! it seems the same here too at times. your doing a great job and wish you could have stayed with us but i think you moved on to a greater good.
for some of you that don't know Andrew, he used to be an Admin with me and a few others on another site. Andrew is a great, honest...
No I haven't checked that, it seems the leak is between the head and the block. Is there an oil passage I missed looking at the manifolds? I seen where there was a water port on the intake by noticing the freeze plugs in the intake manifold. Sorry I'm still learning and reading.
It only leaks in that one spot, well just on that side of the front head at least. There are no other leaks on the truck except for the breaks. I think it had just been gone through and barely used before it hit the auction.
Also the more I run the truck the better it runs, I noticed the...
