I am going to try to stop in tomorrow and maybe Friday since I have training to attend at Wright Patt. I will for sure be there on Saturday to do some shopping.
Here is the pics I promised a couple weeks ago, I forgot. Notice mine is installed backwards (intake side to the rear) of the way they normally are, it was the only way I could get it to fit. So your results may vary but I hope the pics help.
Correct me if I am worng...
The military has procedures for this in TM's, right? Isn't that the method that probably has the most miles traveled effectively?
Thanks for the pics and description, I am totally doing that conversion! Have you gotten them adjusted and turned them on yet? Are they as bright as you were expecting? The $130 that you spent is about what you'd pay at NAPA for a new set of OEM bulbs, right?
I can post a pic of my air cleaner and associated ducting when I get home tonight, although I ran my turbo with the air suction to the rear, so yours will probably end up differently.
To add to the previous post, is any extra support needed to be added when moving the air cleaner to the...
I got a set of FMTV wheels from Roger, based on advice from Mr. Robb, for $100 each. Seemed pretty cheap to me. They are esentially the same as the M939 wheels as near as I can tell, they just have more (20) studs holding the halves together. Additionally, you should be able to make the round...
NDT's look dated to me (classic on an M220 or older unless you have a perfectly period correct truck) and singles appear more 21st century (or 1990's). NDT's definitely spoke for themselves at Haspin and you can't beat their price!
Can we do one in August/September and one in October? I really like that place! It's not too far for everyone that sounds like they'd be interested. And if two is better than one then three is way better than one. We can get by with only pictures to commemorate the August/September event and...
At first, the NDT's were kicking my truck's worn 15.5 XL's butt and I was starting to reconsider installing singles. Then I remembered that I still had my tires at 65-70 psi for the road. After I let them down to about 20-25 psi (I think 25 psi was a little too low for the steers, they looked...
Of course, the more notice the better, but I am sure I will be there. If we go for weather that is too cool, though, we won't be as nice to cool off in the river. I really enjoyed that.
We (my son Brian, my dad Dale, and myself) arrived with the Mid-Ohio Convoy on thrusday in the M835A1 (it think that is the official designation of a M818 with a 12' drop side bed and a turbo, I wasn't sure if 'C' or 'A1' is an apprioiate suffix) towing the M840/S-280 combo and the M35A2 towing...
Four out of every 365 days is not enough Haspin. I am almost certianly down for as many weekend long mini rallies as we can schedule. A rally over a weekend shouldn't impact kids going to school. For us locals, it's easier to justify the short trip for just two days.
That's the way I went last year but the last 10-15 miles were pretty hilly and windy, it was lots of fun! Kip thought that a large convoy might be better to stick to the state highways.
