My learning curve was steep & expensive...but on a celebratory note, I've had my M1078 for ~1 year and just now, today, I figured-out & fixed the CTIS (one wire had pulled out of the pin in the tank pressure sensor connector).:jumpin:
Please forgive my ignorance...Are you talking about the the plug behind the fan off/on switch on the driver's dash, rather than the fan air solenoid valve behind the passenger kick panel?
FWIW -- I believe the hub fill port plug (allen screw) is magnetized...metal powder on the plug usually indicates a problem...parts (shims, bearings, races, seals, CTIS seals) are on eby & SS vendors...a brass/light-weight, drill-mounted wire brush does a good job of cleaning previous...
Hi Skidpad, each air brake chamber has its own caging bolt/nut/washer, mounted on the side of the chamber. If caging each chamber doesn't free-up the brakes, after using your tow vehicle to tug & push on the trailer (fwd/reverse), then use 13/16 or 7/8 or 15/16 wrenches (est. size) to remove...

I thought a couple barns cats would help w/ rats & mice...until a couple urine supertankers disguised as tom cats started hanging around...they're worse than the rats & rattlesnakes....everything is becoming rusted or booby-trapped.
Even though I had a title in hand from the previous owner in an adjoining state municipality...my insurance company was satisfied with a photograph of the serial number plate...but the state licensing/title office require a signature from a state law enforcement official to confirm the FMTV's...
I recently used my handy rubber-tired tree toppling tool to remove two sweet gum trees located between power lines and the neighbors shop...i used the winch just to keep tension until I v-cut the trunk, then placed truck in reverse to pull each tree over...successfully, without the normal sparks...
