Here was the idea- being mounted on the front of my camper, I figured I could then plumb the water to run through a hot water tank/heat exchanger and when the generator is hot/running, have virtually unlimited hot water.

I wasn't sure. I'm building a camper that is 24v so I figured the ability for the truck to actually charge the bank in the camper would be nice- I've got a gen set too but the interconnect cable would have been nice. Surprised on the reliability though.

Good Morning! Anyone ever tried fitting one of those C.E. Niehoff N1609 alternators onto one of these trucks? I haven't seen one in person but from what I found, doesn't look like the size is too big for the hole- but it's a heck of a lot of alternator to spin. Figured I could charge anything...

Well I should clarify. That includes giving me good cores and I supply ends. That does not include me welding on “safety stops” which I’m happy to do, but for an additional cost. I’ll post over there.
