    Does anyone have pictures of the keyway your using rtv in? Sounds like can probably pull mine apart and just clean repack the bearings and plug this hole up.

    I got my Hewitt gauges today.... I'll post some pictures up tonight. I'm hoping to use an aluminum plate and rearrange the dash panel and put all the gauges in the center. Either that or Pull the fuel data plate off and put them there but I don't think the dash is deep enough.

    Here's the right way the alternator should be wire.... really not a 1 wire at all..... it can just be setup that way.

    Nothing my schematic is the same as yours for the exception I messed up where the signal wire should have went. It should go to the switch on the key. The other thing is I don't want to take out the master switch from the 24v circuit. I'm not going to leave the truck on for any reason unless...

    http://www.hewittindustries.com/ They come highly recommended on here by other members. Was $216 shipped for a 2" pyrometer, 10' lead wire, type K thermocouple, and a 2" boost gauge with hose and fittings. All 24v and red illumination.

    Thank you and yes I saw that paint at Walmart but the one condition on buying the truck was it couldn't be camo, that's what the old lady said lol..... the truck will get painted a dark Grey in the spring and most parts will get painted flat black.

    Yes and necessary since I want to turn the fuel up. So today I made my alternator bracket as per 59apache thread. Turned out really good.... I have all my cables so I just have to get a battery and the alternator. Also going to pick up a hardtop and new windshields this weekend.

    So if gear oil is coming out from behind the drums and laying in the wheel that's bad seals correct? The cork gaskets are what seal the hub covers.

    So I looked under the truck tonight and found I have have the thinner shims.... so once I get it bobbed and the bigger michelins on it I'll try flipping them and see what happens.
