If you have ANY leaky spots, synthetic will find it! I would stick with GL-5 or 85/140.

As of right now, planning on leaving early Thursday from Palmetto, pulling 105 w/shelter. Spend Friday/Saturday on site. Leave out for FL on Sunday morning.

I'd give my whole fleet and my "left one" to have one of those HEMTT's.....:drool:

Get a rebuild kit for the air diaphragm mounted on the x-case (2 rubber seals and 2 copper washers). Make sure you hone out the cylinder before installing the new seals.

If you can swing it, swap the x-case AND the tranny. You will be much happier with the multi-tranny in that wrecker.2cents

Your location probably has something to do with that. If you were farther south, NO PROBLEM getting rid of it.

Shouldn't be play in either direction, Just snug enough to allow for turning. You can test with a 2" OD piece of pipe, and adjust from there. Make sure the kingpin on the trailer isn't wore out, and you keep plenty of grease on the jaws and kingpin.
