bsorcs, keep in mind that you have to register the deuce with the Special Plates devision, in Baton Rouge. The local DMV can't do it. You have 2 choices, call and get the info needed as well as the $$$ needed and mail it in (and wait), or drive to Baton Rouge and do it in person (same day)...

All of the GM trucks of this age group look like they are 'dogtracking'. To satisfy your curiosity, take it to a known good frame shop and have then place it on 'the rack'. They can take measurements and correct a problem if necessary. One other way would be to find a front end alignment...

I found that using the flange end of the axle shaft is good for popping off the old seals and since I had FIR shims from building a house they worked great for tapping on the new ones. Just start the new seal and move around the new one, tapping gently until the seal bottoms out.
