I know you've solved your issue with the switch. However, I wanted to share some advice when checking for poor grounds. If I suspect a poor ground, I take a jumper cable directly from the negative pole of the batteries and run it first to the engine and then to the chassis. This eliminates a...
If it was my truck, I'd have CSM Davis repair it and drive it home. You will need to repair it anyway even if you have it transported for you. Probably save a lot of money.
I would recommend that once you sort out the problem that you run the generator at least once per month. I test run mine religiously once per month with the whole house on the load. I run it a minimum of 30 minutes during test runs. We also have numerous power outages which exercise the...
It is not a modification or an add-on. All M35A3s have that four-way connector installed by AM General. It just distributes pneumatic pressure. Also, DOT-approved push-on connectors were used on A3s. It is very easy to see where the air lines go, just follow them.
Well, I fnally got around to replacing the seat on my SEE. From the top, the old seat looked good. From the bottom, the seat was rusted out and virtually no insides left due to mice. I searched, but there was no Case exact replacement seat. None of the other seats I checked out had the same...
The only way that is possible is if the speedometer cable is being spun in the wrong direction. I suspect someone has swapped out the cable drive adapter with an incorrect one. As Gringeltaube suggested, take a photo of the drive adapter and post. Has someone changed out the transmission? I...
Welcome to the site. You definitely have some beautiful scenery where you live, and very nice people. Your license plates don't lie. Before retirement, I spent a lot of time in BC. I was actually in a plane crash at Powell River several years ago when the plane's landing gear refused to come...
I finally got around to working on the throttle linkage. It was a mess. I bought a new rod from EI along with all new springs. Taking out the old bent rod was very difficult. I didn't want to take the ball joint apart, so I held the female section with vice grips, and backed the locking nut...
The hydraulic drill is new and unused. Still has the tag attached, but doesn't have the quick couplers. Has plastic protectors on the ends of the hoses. I just ordered a set of couplers on Ebay.
I finally got around to removing the hydraulic and hand tools from the bins on the SEE. It looks like everything is in very good condition. I need to test everything, but I'm optimistic.
Nice looking A3! I love mine. It's good you don't have the motor oil in your transmission. The hydraulic fluid in yours will make it shift much better than with the motor oil. I don't worry about weight. I routinely carry up to 3,000 - 4,000 lbs in mine and I sometimes pull a very heavy...
If you have the 1545 transmission, you have the lock-up torque converter. If they installed a 545 transmission, you don't have the lock-up feature. When you are driving the truck, you can easily feel the torque converter lock up. From a stop, you can count the four gear changes in the...
I tried it at a very low idle as well as higher RPM. No go, but then I didn't know the trick of reversing the control. I just found a video on You Tube about the same issue on a CASE 580K backhoe. It shows the guy reversing the control at the last minute to latch the lock, although the lock...
I now have all of the hydraulics working on my SEE. All of the controls move smoothly, including the swing pedals. I removed all of the control rods and cleaned all rust off and repainted them. I greased everything thoroughly before re-installation. I also dismantled the control tower and...
I think you should do very well with these. I just asked for a quotation from the original manufacturer. They have 3 in stock at $750.00 each! It's no wonder our taxes are so high.
