What do I need for a rear axle seal replacement?

Erik's has the copper crush washers. They are 2 different sizes. One for the outside of the banjo fitting and one for the inside.

What do I need for a rear axle seal replacement?

If you just really really want to use those awful cork seals then just cut your own. It's literally just a chunk of cork. Any hobby and craft store will have it. Worst case, order it in bulk over the internet.

Pulling tractor with a deuce engine

Casting yes. Doesn't mean the machining is the same. It could be. I don't know either way. Though, typically I see roosamaster pumps with cva injectors. Obviously this combination doesn't apply to every engine.

Pulling tractor with a deuce engine

Considering the tractor used a roosamaster pump I can't say it would surprise me that the injectors would be different.

What do I need for a rear axle seal replacement?

Fair enough. But, if and when you do count me in.

What do I need for a rear axle seal replacement?

Man if you can develop a "bolt on kit" so to speak that will keep oil in these hubs I'd be all over it.

What do I need for a rear axle seal replacement?

Mind telling more about that seal set up?

What do I need for a rear axle seal replacement?

Sounds like my average weekend! Apparently I'm too stubborn to make a list. Also, the parts stores around me hire idiots for the most part.

What do I need for a rear axle seal replacement?

3" pvc. Bring an inner seal with you to the hardware store and it will be obvious. As far as grease, I like to use high temp wheel bearing grease. Mystic jt-6 is my favorite.

    air assist brakes

He has a point here. Is your pedal spongy or firm? If it is spongy then I suggest bleeding the entire system in the correct sequence. If the pedal is firm then it's most likely the air pack.

    air assist brakes

If you have a firm pedal but it doesn't stop worth a crap then chances are your air pack (air cylinder as you called it) is bad. Pull it off of the truck and tear it down before you order a rebuild kit. It may be too rusted up to rebuild. If thats the case then you will need a new one.

    LD-465-1C and FDC Question

Leave the fdc in place. Just bypass it. Assuming of course the truck has one. Not every injector pump has one.

    LD-465-1C and FDC Question

All the fdc does is retard the governor when a more viscous fuel is run through it. I highly recommend bypassing the fdc. More trouble than its worth. I also recommend adding a pyrometer when you do bypass your fdc. This is because without the fdc doing anything it defaults to max fuel and...

What do I need for a rear axle seal replacement?

Or just grab it and pull it back. Check both sides of the wheel cylinder.

Deuce with 6v92T Detroit and transmission.....????

Most states aren't that picky on epa regs on older vehicle's. At least Louisiana isn't.

Deuce with 6v92T Detroit and transmission.....????

I drive a small (23,000 pound) drilling rig. It has a 6 speed eaton and I hate driving it in town. Thankfully thats only once a week. I really wish it was an auto. Heck I wish my deuce was an auto but I rufuse to get an a3. I only like sticks in sports cars. I see your point on the 10...

Deuce with 6v92T Detroit and transmission.....????

Its not the size. I just don't like shifting that much. You won't be towing enough weight to need that many gears. Granted thats just my opinion. Too much stop n go traffic where I'm at.

Deuce with 6v92T Detroit and transmission.....????

Just for convenience I would try to stay 5 or 6 speed with a stick. Just imagine your deuce as it is now except twice the power. I'd drive mine every day if that was the case. Someone stabbed an eaton 6 speed in an a3. Trying to remember what thread it was. It fit... barely.

Deuce with 6v92T Detroit and transmission.....????

Thats a lot of transmission to fit in there. But, anything is doable. I wonder how much torque the deuce transfer case can handle?
