I pull this thing all around with my deuce tractor, the trailer weights about 10,000 lbs now with everything I've added and the trailer brakes work good. 4500 miles logged on pulling this trailer now!

I have seen tubing benders that are like heavy springs, they slide over the tubing and prevent kinking,works pretty well. Some on ebay.

You notice the difference more at lower speeds, hearing protection is still required at higher speeds. Imo.

You could always get a 6" piece of copper tubing and some compression fittings and do a field repair splice!
