The tire in the 809 5 tons mounted to the front panel of the bed not the headache rack boards so I would try to find (or fab) the shafts and brackets from a 5 ton. Then you don't need to mess with the boards,or troop seats.

I would ask 1st if the trans is new or a remand unit, when you had it out did you see any wear marks on the converter seal area?
The seal can leave grooves in the converter some times they make a sleeve to put over the surface to give the seal a smooth fit.

That's good because I just remembered the last 6 #'s are all that matter,(on all civilian units too) they are for that truck only the rest of them will be the same on all M915a1's.
