Ya I browsed that manual and it doesn't quite have the information I'm looking for. Basically I need the model number and calibration numbers off of the Ambac data plate.
I currently have my injector pump off of my ldt465-1d at a shop ready to be rebuilt. The problem I'm having is the data plate is missing from the pump. The one for the HH is still there.
If someone who has a "g" code injector pump, otherwise known as the pump with no FDC, I would greatly...
Sounds more like you have an air leak in a fuel line somewhere. To test this simply turn on the main power and then crack the bleeder valve on the secondary fuel filters until a steady stream of fuel comes out. Then close the valve and see if the truck fires up normally.
Well they are approximately 46" tall just laying on the ground. I'll have to measure the loaded radius which I can do in a few min. Today is pull injector pump day so I'll be playing with the truck anyways.
Out of curiosity, what tire sizes have you tested your o.d. kit with? I know you have used the 14.5-20 size but I wonder how effective it would be with 395's. Since the 395's are so popular right now there may be a few people wanting to run both but are unsure how that would work out.
I'm not...
Honestly I can't tell you at the moment. Mark was driving and with his foot to the floor on level-ish road my gps fluttered between 58-59. I wasn't watching the tach.
I can run 63-65 at 2500 with 395's. I'm more than happy. Nothing against your o.d. kit. Which is considerably cheaper than what I have in my super single conversion.
A fun activity might be to measure how thick each leaf is. Just because there are different numbers of leaves doesn't mean the spring ratings aren't the same. Or at least similar.
2500 to 3000 rpm is redline for most OTR diesel engines. In fact even modern diesels 2600 to 2800 is not uncommon. The slow top end if the deuce is directly a result of the low gearing of the truck. Well, that and the low gearing is a nesseity with the MF due to its anemic power output.
I...
I have been in contact with a sales rep at Maradyne about aquiring an air o matic system for my truck. Let me start by saying not only are they still making the air o matic but they have kits in stock ready to ship. These are not new old stock. These will be brand new kits of current...
He doesn't seem to be describing an engine knock. I also second checking everything belt driven. If that doesn't appear to be the problem I would suspect something to do with the clutch.
Eh...I'm not a fan. It either doesn't bond correctly or if you use too high of a grade it bonds the fastener forever. In some cases heat will break the bond. Problem is, you can't always put a torch to the fastener without damaging something.
You can replace the tips of the injector lines? The new lines I got look like a tip was crimped on and then the line had flare stamped on. Not to mention each injector line is the same length to keep pressures even.
