Picked up a box of parts and this master cylinder was in with everything else, anyone know what it goes to? Also picked up a 5 ton master cyliner, is this for the 800 series?
I know there will be more in Little Rock, just don't know exactly when. There are several near me that are staged to go there, 109's two winch trucks and at least 20 regular cargo.
From what I remember the A3 package was added to a standard A2, started seeing these in Germany in the late 80's early 90's. A complete depot rebuild new stuff added, I know this was done in Germany and am sure it was done in other places.
As stated above it is a homey unit mod, seen lots of these in maintenance units, as you said a Wal Mart 109! They are better to sleep in as well, when you get up off your cot you don't bang your head against the bows, done this a few times:-D Usually stuffed full of tools and spare parts though...
Here are a few pics of the FDC bypass plumbing on my IP, hope this helps. The paperwork that came with this rebuilt IP said it was set up for bypassing the FDC, it came with a little cartoon that showed the correct way to plumb it, so pretty sure this is correct, it runs great. You don't have to...
Some good pics on the link provided, I can send you pics of mine if you want, when I replaced my IP I had to bypass the FDC, pretty easy really, shoot me a pm if you need better pics or have a question.
I have made a few improvements on the old deuce since I picked her up, added my troop seats this weekend, I have the bows and a used cargo cover as well but need to do a few repairs on the cover before install. Can anyone recommend what type of patch kit would work on a vinyl cover, just a few...
Not sure about NC specific, back in the day when I first came in the Army (83) we were running 30wt in the engines, then sometime in the late 80's early 90's the Army switched to 40wt in darn near everything, I currently use the Rotella 40t as stated above, the Army has used it for years now so...
I wouldn't worry about it, it's not the equipment that is as important as the quality of the soldiers using it.Doubt they can keep anything operational very long on their own anyway, but I wish they would give me just one!:-D
I'll try to get some better pics, I was in a hurry.Been to this yard several times, tons of old cars but it looks like he has been scraping heavy lately, just the cars though and not the big stuff.
This truck is in a junkyard nearby, I am sure it is WWII vintage, can anyone ID from these pics? You could probably buy it, though he is usually kind of high on his stuff, be neat to add to the stable!:-D
All the way over I believe, think it ended up upside down.I talked to the Chief, not interested in selling or parting out, even though they do own this one. They told me they just picked up an A3 from Greenbriar, didn't see it though.
