Re: RE: Another new addition!
It did have a winch, the winch handle is still in the cab, so I'm guessing the PTO is still there also. Hopefully will just need a winch and PTO shaft to complete.
Yup, Ft. McCoy. I'm not far away so it's a nice place to buy from, plus Mike there is great to deal with.
How can you tell it has the electric wipers? I've never seen the electric ones before, can't wait to see them in action.
So I bought my first deuce in Nov '07, then bought my xm818 in Dec 07. Now in July '08 I bought another. The disease is hitting hard.
Got the paid invoice today. Going to pick up this thursday, can't wait. This one looks to have some pretty fresh paint on it, which is why I bought it. My...
Well, I don't know if that is a Hilarious sf-97, but I had a humorous one once. An xm818 I got from GSA came w/ the SF-97 listing it as Make: Jeep Model: Cummings (yes that is the spelling used on the form)
I had a good time at the show / my son. Didn't bring an MV though.
ToddM I walked right by your stuff, didn't know you were from the site, or I would have said Hi.
The Gamma Goat, and the Mule next to it I believe (the mule is for sure) a guy (Don) I happened upon in a small town near...
There are a few posts floating around on this. WI looks to be a little more restrictive on some things than MI. I'm hoping to figure out something when I make the move permanent to WI.
If your still looking for a truck, I'm thinking of selling my '72 M35A2C in the next couple of months. I...
Yup, I realize all of that. Just pointing out the fact that if you remove all the 5th wheel and tool box etc. behind the cab, that a deuce dropside is the perfect length. Incase you hadn't realized or thought of that option.
The one thing I question is the calculation itself of the effect on the front axle. Is that a standard formula for calculating that figure? I did some searching and didn't see anything about calculating the loading.
I did see this: http://www.classadrivers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=391945
m.walker: That M750 looks like it is the M295 trailer chassis. I would be very interested to see if it fits on your tractor w/ the 16x20's.
I take it the M127 gets really close if the feet rub when not clearanced.
Nice trucks by the way!!
I'm going to look over your stuff closer when I get off work tonight, but one thing to consider:
Stock 11x20 is what 44" in diameter? So for me a 16x20 is about 52" That is a 9" difference. 1/2 that is 4.5" (coincidentally what you say it is ahead of the axle centerline by), so you would...
I'd be interested in that. The only thing is I don't know how much room there is on the 818 to move it back, and really, can you move it back enough clear some of the closer trailers?
Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: 818 on 16x20 singles, what trailers?
They don't tract perfectly, but they are pretty close. If you do a search there has been alot of discussion on using these wheels, and some go more in depth on the track offset.
The 900 series single wheels have too much offset and...
