The circuit also goes through the turn signal lever.
You can check it there (do a search on here for wiring cad drawings).
When you press the brake lights the brake light wire should give you power.
It then goes through the switch and out to each taillight wire.
You could get an aftermarket Espar coolant heater? That would keep the engine warm, and the cab w/ the coolant heater, if you wire the fan to come on w/ the coolant heater.
Anyone ever converted a standard deuce to a tipper? I heard a rumor of where a bed might be located. Are there alot of differences between the two trucks chassis? I've been told the wheelbase is the same.

Good things I found today. The engine, trans, t-case, and all diff's have clean oil in them. The air filter looks brand new, and someone replaced one of the knuckle boots once already.
The bad. I have a leak. Looks to be the transmission. I have some gear oil leaking, but...
2900 redline? This truck does have the danger sticker way over in that area, but this is the same engine as in my '72 and it has the sticker in the proper spot, at about 2,600 RPM. IIRC it is a 2,650 RPM limit, is it not?
Yup, Everything is there except for the winch itself. They even left all the bolts in the cab in a nice zip lock baggie.
Power on the truck seemed kind of funny. It felt alot quicker in 1st to 4th, that my other truck, but in 5th felt slower.
Medlog, would love some info on my new truck.

Was this Rebuilt? The first part doesn't match anything on the MV decoding article.
I can barely make out this on the door (painted over) 4G6813 The original Reg number?

Thanks! THe paint looks pretty new, It has really new 9:20's on it also, they all still have the nubs even.
I was going to use the trick where you put up all the windows and open the front to push the hot air out of the cab. That fell through when the soft top came up at the front. I didn't...
16x20 goodyears (hemmt wheels/tires). I wonder w/ all the upgrades if maybe it came from Oshkosh Equipment. They like to put those ties on all the 5 tons they sell.
I saw the link to the museum and was hoping to stop in and take a look, but I see they are waiting on construction of a new...
You will want to make sure you seal up all the holes, and around the shifters. Perhaps you can look into a winterizing kit to do that.
Other than that, make sure you post up about all the details when you are done!
Does anyone know how the A3 steering is setup? I know where I can get an Assist Cylinder and hoses, but wondering what is on the other end. I imagine it is just a steering box, but want to know everything I would need before going to see if the rest is there.
Also, does anyone know what an A3...
It's just my opinion, but I think it looks small. If you do a search on ring mounts, I think a member here had posted a pic of one mounted. It just looks like a lil toy up there.
MIg w/ 75/25 is the way to go for sheet metal. The Flux core has an easier tendancy to burn through the metal in my experience. Also for sheet metal, use a .023 wire to keep the burn through down.
It will take some practice, but I tought myself. I have a Hobart 135 (it is a 140 now) and it...
I had some in my 5 ton. I started it up and got out, noticed bees buzzing around. Had a can of pyrethron. I sprayed around the truck, and found them coming from around the drivers side engine cover. After I sprayed that in the opening, the ones outside the truck wouldn't go back in, and the...
