Can't remember the nomenclature on these, I know this came off of a 577, I have used these back when I was in the Army.Is there any way to convert the slave receptacle to a couple of regular plug in receptacles? Don't think I will be powering any 577's any time soon but this might come in handy...
Had our 3rd annual 100 mile Red Ball Convoy yesterday, had a great time.Met a couple of SS guys who are members of the Arkansas Travelers.I took about a gazillion pics and will include a few.We had 54 vehicles this year everything from WWII up till now, mostly jeeps but also a beautiful scout...
Anybody else here ever put your transfer in low, forget about it, then take off down the road and wonder why you can't get over 25mph in 5th?:?
I actually drove deuces in the Army, I must be gettin old,
Saw this driving down the road just the other day, got the better half trained pretty well now as she said "hey! there is a deuce" Took a pic with my crappy camera phone.I will be hitting these guys up, as I am sure they ditched the troop seats and such, might even have a cargo cover if I am...
Found these in my old reliable honey hole, I am hoping I have a complete set here. The short ones are about 55 inches long and the long one(on the right) is about 62.These may be from a 548, are they different from ones that would fit a deuce or are they all the same?I already have the ring,
Now just waiting on my new seals to arrive so I can get the winch put together and mount it up.Got to thinking that empty space would be perfect for a cooler full of tasty beverages:beer:
Started the dissasembly of my free winch, it is locked up tight. Now that I have it apart a bit I can see why.The clutch side was full of water, I bet the drive side is too.I have all new seals on the way.My question is what is a good technique for gettin those woodruff keys out on the shaft so I...
I now own two m35a2 winches, in searching for a replacement top plate for one I now notice the bolt holes on the top for the plate are different sizes between the two. What's up with that, different manufacturer's or different time periods. The bolts in the black one are 15/16 and the green one...
Anyone know a source for a top plate for an M35a2 winch? Been searching hard and drawing a blank so far.Would it be the same as the one on a 5 ton winch?
Wow is this thing big, makes my deuce look like a roller skate.I am sorely tempted by this big old truck:-D How do I explain to the old lady that we either need a bigger driveway or you are gonna have to park on the street.
I have been driving by this truck for three years, was it made for the military or just bought off the shelf, so to speak. It says U.S. Navy on the side and has a registration #, no military type data plates in the cab that I could see.
Not exactly deuce related, but can anyone ID the ammo trays, I'm thinking the big one is for a MK19, the small one looks like it would be for a 50 but not sure.
